Re: Alexandria: Dorian & Claire
Grey eyes darted across his smile and she had to make a conscious effort to train her gaze elsewhere. Like on the book he was handing to her. Claire laughed under her breath, "Of course it's preachy. Böhme was a theosopher," said as though that explained everything. Yet she traded the book she held for the one he offered, and took a few idle flips through the pages, "This is far more practical."
Claire paused in skimming the pages to glance up at him, giving him a large grin like a cat that got caught in the cream. She was being lazy by not using a better American accent, but it wasn't like people didn't come from Europe. It happened all the time. "To my ear, you're the one with the accent."
He shrugged at her, and Claire tilted her head, this time giving him her own bright smile. She didn't often get a chance to talk about the esoteric with people, and even more so she didn't often find someone that was so voracious of a reader of this particular subject matter. "I think that absolutely makes you the best to ask. Which one have you read the most?"
