Re: Webster's: Holly & Elijah
Holly wasn't a girl, and his hair wasn't as bright as candy-floss. His hair was kinda long, but that was literally the only potentially feminine thing about the guy in the gray sweater. As for town rumor? Yeah, well, town rumor was about Holly Webster coming back, and how his wife had come back at the same time, and hadn't she been pregnant?, and maybe he'd been doing something top secret for the military. Him working at a record store that bore his surname? Barely registered in comparison.
"Holiday. Holly's short for Holiday." He motioned behind himself, to the stacks and piles of records. "Feel free to look around. I'm just counting the till, so take your time." Holly needed to do a show tonight, because it had been a few days since he'd been on, but he wasn't rushed or anything. He wanted to hit Noah up first anyway. They hadn't discussed, like, rules about solo shows or anything like that, and Holly was big on rules.
The guy at the door was all eye contact, and Holly had learned not to back down a long time ago. He met Elijah's blue gaze with his own brown one, and he nodded. "No problem," he said about staying open. "Doesn't it get itchy?" the beard. Now, Holly was almost committed to some hipster-esque look, but he wasn't so committed that he was willing to grow a hipster beard. I mean, he wasn't actually good at growing hair, but that wasn't the point.
So, yeah, he just walked back to the register as Elijah walked in. "Do your thing," he told the guy.
And as for, like, abilities? Holly had none, but he did affect the world around him weirdly, like he was out of place, and like that caused weird disturbances. The buzzing was part of it, but other than that? There was nothing he was aware of.
