Re: Log: Gabriel & Archie
The fact that they were wandering further away from the houses told Archie that his presence had been noted. That they were heading into the woods should probably have probably told him to back down and walk away. This vampire was older than he, and therefore undoubtedly more powerful, and if he found Archie distasteful in some way there was nothing anyone could do to stop him from turning him to dust.
If, perhaps, Archie had spent a little more time paying attention to the etiquette his parents had tried to install in him, rather than running off to be a dissident every chance he got, he might have felt less intimidated by the posture, the tone of his voice, the sheer presence his companion radiated. There in his handsome dark clothing, the other man was the pinnacle of sophistication, the very thing both Archie's parents and his Master had desired he exhibit.
And here he was, tiny and unintimidating, in spotty cotton pants and a tshirt, with absolutely nothing to credit himself with.
"There hasn't been another vampire out here for a long time," Archie said quietly. "Not away from the city. Were you looking for something? Someone?"
