Re: [Orchard: Bea & Holly]
Holly got it. Holly would totally murder that decision with a kitchen knife had the tables been turned. He was a jealous guy, and he wasn't nice. At the end of the day, Holly Webster could be a downright dick, and cheating would absolutely get him there. And, yeah, absolutely he would consider the secret-porn thing cheating. Maybe that sounded insanely hypocritical coming from him, but he was all about full-disclosure, and to his mind that made all the difference. Not that he could tell her that. He kinda thought bringing up his camwork would be bad news. So, onward...
"I didn't go out into the woods and become a different person. I went out into the woods, in summer, after my dad's funeral. I ended up here. I know it sounds nuts, but it's true. Look, if you don't believe me? I can have Travis hit you up. Or Tandy. I'm not the only one around here who isn't from here." Which was sharing other people's stuff, but he kinda wanted her to know. He thought she deserved to know the truth and believe it.
He wasn't big on being touched, but he let her touch his hand, and he squeezed her fingers. Above them, in the tree overhead, a winter bird stretched its wings and divebombed into the cold earth a few feet away. Holly, who was totally into Hitchcock, didn't like divebombing birds. So, right, he stepped away. Hand through his hair again, and he wanted to bail from this orchard. "I know you aren't going to say anything. You loved the guy, so you wont, even if it's just because you think he's me and I've lost it." Beat. "I'll check in, okay?"
