It was almost nice to be reminded what it was like to be enthusiastic about a space. He wasn't, exactly. He was a long way from where he'd grown up, and a long way from anywhere he'd wanted to be, but at the same time, he knew that this was probably the best place for him right now - even if he didn't have the same enthusiasm about it. It was funny - in some ways he'd had much less at home than he had here, but he'd drop it and go back to it. "I've noticed some of the leaves turning around the lake and it's pretty," he offered. "My dog seems to like it here too."
He took a breath, "I don't really come up to the Capital much, or I haven't, but I will keep my eyes open, or maybe I'll come by the Carnival too." It wasn't the sort of thing he normally would consider, then again, of recent he'd been doing a lot of things he wouldn't normally consider. Maybe it was time to turn all of that up-side-down on its head, and the woman in front of him seemed bright enough and fun enough, and he supposed if the ticket went to support her, there'd be worse things to do for an evening. "What type of live performance, I mean, outside of you and your violin?"
