Archie shrugged his shoulders. "I'm only doing what I would like someone to do for someone I cared about," he said, though he was sure there was probably no one Wren could remember who would care for him. "You can use as much of the shower gel as you like. The chap who owns this place always has a stash for guests, I'll go and get some more."
He, too, was confused for a moment. "What do you mean?" Did Wren want to stay? Did he want Archie to keep him? Was that what he was asking. "You're welcome to stay for as long as you want to," Archie replied slowly. "I really don't mind. But I assumed-" not that Wren would want to go back to the forest- or maybe he would. Perhaps that little edge of not-quite-human would want to go back. "-I assumed you'd want to sleep wherever you're comfortable." Archie shrugged gently. "So you don't even have to stay tonight, I don't mind. I don't really sleep, so you can hang out until you want to go again. I'll walk you back."
He hoped that wasn't too much of an offer. He hoped that this wasn't too overwhelming for Wren. Archie knew he was probably taking charge a little too much, offering a bath, food, clothes-
"I'm not going to hurt you," he decided he should say. "If I'm being over-imposing I do apologise. Is there anything I can do to make you feel more comfortable? Or safer?" He had no idea what he could actually offer. "Do you want me to- I could sit here in my underwear if you'd prefer? Or I can...I don't know. But anything you want." Archie smiled brightly. "Whatever you want."
