Archie had a lot of questions, but he was sure none of them would be polite to ask. So he'd just carry on, just offer and give things until Wren was happy. Or sated. Or both.
Wonderful was never something Archie had used to describe this place. It was certainly a long way away from the rich Gothic interiors their master had kept. But if Wren liked it then that was fine.
"I'm going to use bubbles. I think you'll like it a lot," Archie smiled, ducking into the bathroom and starting the water, pouring more bubble bath than necessary into the bottom so that it would foam up.
He reemerged, bounding towards Wren with a smile on his face, reaching a hand out to start picking the flowers from his hair. "I'll put these beside the bed, then you can put them back in when you're clean," Archie said softly, his touch gentle. "I'll get us the plainest milkshakes and pizza to ease you in, I won't put a whole load of flavours on for your first time," he continued. "You'll like it, I promise. But it doesn't matter if you don't, there's no problem."
He ran his fingers through Wren's matted hair carefully, then stroked his ear. "Your bath will be ready soon. I'll find you something else to wear and we can wash these clothes, if you like? Do you- you know how to bathe?" Archie asked, not wanting to be too patronising, but also not wanting Wren to just sit in the water and not know what to do.
He took Wren's hand again, leading him into the bathroom and turning off the taps. The bubbles were half the depth of the bath, but that was fine! Archie was pleased with himself. "If you take these clothes off and get in- I'll go to the other room to give you some privacy. The bubbles should hide everything, don't worry."
