Dolores felt an odd pang of nostalgia, hearing the Tonks woman call her 'Dori'. No one had called her that since Aunt Doreen had died, and she was rather perplexed to realize that she'd missed it. She smiled a little, uncustomarily warm, and then shook it off. She was certainly not friends with this lowblooded underling, and the Auror can't have meant to call her the name with anything resembling affection.
"It's so good to know that we will have competent people running the desks at the Ministry again," she commented, patting the Tonks woman on her arm. "I do hope you get over that little bug soon, my dear. I'm sure the Aurors would be completely lost without you."
The doors to the lift opened and Dolores gestured for Tonks to go ahead of her. "As for me, I'm here to attend to a few matters of business. I've an appointment with Mr. Yaxley, of course, and I also need to oversee some matters with the Muggleborn Registration Committee. After all, I am still the administrator, in addition to my duties as Headmistress and High Inquisitor." She smiled again, this time more as a predator. "There are some people who are still disloyal to the Ministry, as sad as it is, and they must be weeded out."
