Dolores turned her head to examine the woman who'd just sidled up next to her. It was that Auror, the Tonks woman. Unfortunately her bloodlines were well known to Dolores, who had made it her business to begin an investigation into all the Aurors still employed by the Ministry. The scandal of her parents' marriage was well known, considering her mother had been until the wedding an upstanding Pureblood scion of the House of Black. Such a pity how that House had deteriorated in its last generation. Weak women like Narcissa, social upstarts like Andromeda and Sirius, unstable minds like Bellatrix... such a pity.

In any case, though she was by no means of pure blood, Nymphadora was of high enough status that she could not be easily ousted from her position. Dolores had heard something about a woman Auror being injured on the job recently; clearly it had been the Tonks woman. Dolores didn't particularly trust any of the Aurors still on duty. So many of them had seemed more loyal to Dumbledore during Cornelius' tenure as Minister, and Dolores couldn't image they retained any sort of fealty to the new government that had been installed. Particularly offspring of Mudbloods like Ted Tonks.

"Why, good morning Nymphadora," she said perkily, clasping her hands in front of herself and smiling condescendingly at the Auror. "Good to see you getting back on your feet and off to work again. And how are you feeling?"
