Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
WHO: Lisa and ???
WHEN: Afternoon
WHERE: Covenant Gardens
WHAT: Likely no higher than PG13
WHY: Lisa and Albus needed a walk

Lisa Turpin needed fresh air. Albus Turpin needed a walk. It seemed only natural for the pair to be wandering about London on a March afternoon. The black and white pitt bull puppy was clad in a stylish black spiked collar and black lease and his owner in jeans and a red tanktop and Manchester United sweatshirt. She stopped long enough to buy some chips before continuing on her way through the throng of locals and tourists wandering through the Gardens.

It was a rather lovely day, even if it was blustery and Lisa was singing softly to herself between mouthfuls of fried potato.

"Yeah. You didn't knock me over or anything. Wait... I know you..." Lisa looked up at the rather large man before her as Albus sniffed his shoes. "Aren't you Marcus Flint? Yeah...went to school with ya. I'm Lisa Turpin. Ex-Ravenclaw. How are ya?" She smiled up at the man, squinting in the sun.

Funny how one ran into people from school in the middle of a place as large as London. But then, Lisa paid attention to good fliers and for all of his violence on the pitch...he was a good flier.

"I'm doing alright. Your dog seems sweet, what's it's name?" Marcus leaned down and began petting the dog, the dog sniffed at him cautiously until he began to pat his head.

"Haven't seen you in ages, how have you been?" Marcus said with a smile. He was using his charm even though he didn't exactly mean to, but being sober made him open to all sorts of things.

"His name is Albus. He has about a thousand middle names but, I just call him Albus. He loves everyone." She smiled as the man began petting her dog. She liked people who liked her 'baby' as she called him. But Marcus asked a question so Lisa answered, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. She smiled. "I've been alright lately. You? You sorta dropped off the world of Fliers there for a bit. You have talent. Shouldn't give that up." If she ever decided to take a job it'd be as a manager for Fliers.

"Cute name, at least he's friendly, I know alot of dogs that just bite before thinking. Bloody savages, they are," Marcus smirked a bit as he said this. It seemed to be true that dogs didn't usually like him much, but he didn't mind because usually he found them to be ugly or filthy. "I had some trouble with drinking, but I'm done with that now. I've gotten my spot back on the team, but I haven't been put into action yet. Hoping it'll be soon, though."

"Albus loves everyone until they give him reason otherwise. Like me." Lisa laughed and lit a cigarette before offering Marcus one. "Well... Mum was murdered right before my seventh year. I spent most of the year to myself until the battle at Hogwarts. Fought. Ended up in Mungo's for a few years. Moved here and got my pup. That's me." She shrugged and picked up a stick before tossing it after unleashing her puppy. He took off after the peice of wood and Lisa sat on a bench.

"Excessive drinking is never good. I'm glad you've stopped. They'll get you off the reserves soon enough I'm sure. Who are you playing with again?"

She couldn't remember exactly if it was United or the Falcons. He was better suited for the Falcons for his violence. But she'd not paid too much attention to him in general. After all, he'd been or was with Morag.

"Sounds awful, rather glad you're alright. Sorry about your mum, though. I do hope your dealing alright."Marcus smiled and took the cigarette and lit it with his wand. He offered to do the same to Lisa's before continuing, "Drinking did me no good at all. Lost everything," Marcus sighed a little feeling a twinge of pain when he said this, it still was fresh afterall.

"So what are you doing out today? Just walking your dog?"

"Losing everything is never good. I nearly gave everything up in favour of grief. And yeah. Needed out and so did Alby. So here we are." She smiled and took a drag of her Lambert and Butler's. "Didn't know purebloods smoked muggle cigarettes but I suppose they're almost like wizarding minus the puffs of multi-coloured smoke." She tossed the stick again.

"What brings you out here today? Didn't know purebloods like yourself frequented muggle London. You always seemed a bit..snakey and mean."

"Cigarettes of all kinds work for me, really. I never got into the wizard ones that are about. Seem kind of pointless to me. Not to mention they tend to cost alot, and I just don't spend money on things I don't need," Marcus took a drag and blew out the smoke slowly. It'd been awhile since he'd smoked, and he realized then how badly he missed it.

Marcus snickered a bit, "I suppose I am a bit mean, but that doesn't change how interesting things are. I like to take random strolls around anywhere from time to time," Marcus hadn't felt mean in awhile, but when he was drunk things just set him off and he would get into fights for no reason.

"Well... if you like doing random things... I could show you a sport as great as Quidditch. If you fancy it." Lisa smiled and bent down to pet Albus and remove the stick from his mouth. "I doubt you've ever been to see a football match." She laughed and threw the stick again.

"No, I can't say I ever have. Infact, all I know about it is there's no brooms. I really never did much of anything besides follow Quidditch. I was only ever exposed to that sport," Marcus laughed a little. He seemed like a naive boy and he kind of liked that. It was probably the only time he'd feel naive ever.

Lisa laughed and took the stick from Albus again before looking up at the Slytherin with bright eyes and a wide smile. "I could show you a whole new world of things providing you're open minded. I don't like prejudiced people. I suppose this makes me prejudiced towards the prejudiced but still." She laughed and took his hand in hers. "You'd find a whole new world of things to do. Come on. You look like you need a friend. And I'm a good one."

Marcus looked at her wonderingly. It shocked him to hear that someone actually wanted to do something with him. It'd been a while since he found anyone that actually gave him something more interesting to do than sit around his flat and sulk. "I guess I could use a friend. And I definitely need something time consuming. It'd help with my attempt to stop drinking, too." He smiled, he geniunely apperciated this. More than he could even say.

Lisa re-leashed her dog and squeezed his hand. "Right then. We'll go to mine to watch the football match on the telly. Then I will show you the marvels of muggle grocery stores and then I'll show you the basic tourist things. London eye, St. Pauls, the Palace, et cetera. We'll have a non-alcoholic blast. Come on then!"

Lisa pulled Marcus by the hand towards the tube. "Hope you will like the tube. I don't apparate if I can help it."

Follow swiftly behind Lisa, Marcus just stared at his surroundings. Although he'd been here many times, everything seemed new to him. Like he was seeing everything for the first time. "I guess I've missed out on alot being only wizard oriented. I've been here before but I never really looked at things that muggles do. I'm usually the type that just walks around because I enjoy walking," he said with a snicker. He never really frequented any place. He just walked where his legs carried him.

"I don't know if I mind or not, guess we'll find out," he said, with an intrigued look on his face.

Lisa laughed. "Good enough." She took him down into the underground and bought him a ticket before showing him how to go through the turnstyles. She drug him down a hall and onto the platform. Soon after, the train came screaming down the tunnel and stopped with a screech before them. The doors opened. An eery voice uttered "Mind the Gap" and people got off while others got on. Lisa hopped into the train with Albus following behind. She sat in a seat in the back and patted the space next to her. "Alright there?"

As he followed Lisa into the train and sat down, he got a little nervous about what it was going to be like. "Muggles really are quite imaginative without magic, aren't they? I never thought I'd be on one of these. I've only heard about them," as they train began to move, it made Marcus' stomach churn a bit. He wasn't used to this, but after awhile it calmed down and he wore a smile once again. "This really is kind of brilliant. I wish I had done this much sooner."
