He probably should have stayed a bit later at work then he had, but he figured it was better in the long run that he hadn't. After his conversation with Ginny, his mind clearly had not gone back to what it was that the Ministry was paying him to do. Instead he'd been puzzled by what he had done to get her into the state she was currently in. He found the best place to be was on his wife's good side, cause if he wasn't she knew, better then anyone, which buttons to press to make him miserable.

Normally he could think of several things he could have done to make her cross, but having her say that he hadn't meant for it to happen opened a door to a million possibilities with no hope of him guessing which one it had been, which meant he couldn't attempt to fix it before he got home. So instead, he stopped off for a moment to pick up a small peace offering. It couldn't hurt and besides, he couldn't remember the last time he had gotten her flowers. It was about time he did. With roses in hand, he apparated to the house. Leaving his stuff by the door, he ventured further in.

"Ginny?"

She felt a bit guilty about sending her two children to her mother with almost no notice, if only because she had been nice enough to keep them the two days before while Ginny did a charity coaching session and then attended a press conference for the Montrose Magpies. Unlike some mothers, she wasn't one to pass off her children at any opportunity determined to have the full experience of raising them. She was thorough in making her schedule spread out enough to allow her time with her children, and to still have a rather respectable career. A career which had her writing most of her articles in various places within her house while her children played or took their nap.

Ginny was, in one word, nervous. The type of nervous that she hadn't been since....well, she couldn't actually remember but thoughts of her wedding were popping into mind. It was simple enough to explain as she and Harry had never managed to actually plan their family. It had merely happened. James had been the first, a pleasant surprise that was followed so closely by Albus that Ginny rarely thought of them as distinctly separate events.

But now....it still hadn't been planned, but it was almost as if she were telling Harry for the first time again. And if memory served her correctly, she had almost thrown up before getting the words out. With a small groan she pushed that idea from her mind, pushing herself off the couch in the living room to move into the hallway. "Right here Harry."

Having come home fully expecting Ginny to still be upset, he was a bit surprised to find her...well, not angry. Instead she was relatively calm. He used relatively because there was obviously something wrong. He could almost feel it. He'd known her for too long not to be able to tell.

Forgetting the flowers for a moment, he frowned moving to meet her. "Is everything okay?" he asked, concerned. He hadn't heard the boys when he'd come in and for the briefest moment he had the panicked thought that something might have happened to them before he managed to get a grip on himself. If that had been the cause he would have known about it before he got home. "You look worried."

"Umm...I don't know if worried is really what I would say." she muttered, chewing on her bottom lip as she reached for his hand, leading him back into the living room. The house was far too quiet and suddenly Ginny found she regretted sending the boys to The Burrow, noise made it easier for her to think as strange as that was. But she had simply always been around noise, in fact she rather hated silence.

"Go ahead and sit down." Ginny told him softly, running her sweaty hands over the fabric of her jeans. "We need to talk."

Harry inwardly cringed. Those four words he had hoped he would never have to hear again. They usually didn't lead to very pleasant conversation...at least for him anyway. Despite his apprehension, he grabbed a spot on the couch and waited as patiently as he possibly could...which wasn't at all patient.

"What's going on, Gin?" he asked, starting to worry that something serious was wrong. Perhaps Ron and Hermione or maybe something happened to Molly or Arthur. He didn't like not knowing and her nervousness was only feeding his own anxiety. Surely, nothing horrible had taken place. He'd only been at work for a couple hours. He couldn't have missed that much.

"Um...." she began, struggling for the right words so that everything would come out just as it should. Ginny could tell Harry was worried, not that she could blame him with her current behavior but her own surprise and nerves were currently getting the better of her leaving her unable to attempt to reassure him. "We've never really discussed having more children...." she forced the words out in a rush, some of the tightness in her chest easing now that she had gotten past the first hurdle.

"Actually, we've never discussed having children at all. They just sort of happened. And I just...well, your not against it are you?" It didn't really matter if he was, there was another one coming regardless of his opinion on the matter.

Harry frowned. This certainly wasn't the direction that he had thought the conversation would go. "Of course I'm not against it." he responded, some of his apprehension disappearing as his confusion replaced it. "I've always wanted to have children. Never thought I actually would, but that's beside the point. I wouldn't give up James and Albus for the world."

Most people would have put two and two together and figured out what Ginny was getting at, but Harry wasn't most people and he'd never been good at the obvious. It was clear that he had not heard the 'more' in her first statement. "We've never exactly been the kind of people to plan things. It doesn't matter to me that the boys were unexpected. What brought this on?"

"Harry." she groaned, burying her face in her hands for a moment while she struggled not to laugh. All the apprehension of trying to tell him had gone away at his statement that he didn't mind the possibility of more children. Most of her nervousness had stemmed from the idea that he might not want anymore, and might be disappointed or completely against it. But now that left her with just Harry, Harry who was generally so oblivious to most things around him unless it happened to be a criminal or Dark Wizard.

With a sigh and a prayer for patience she looked up, attempting to smile through her slight nerves. "I'm pregnant. Again."

"What?" he asked, confused. He didn't see anything wrong with his question. He didn't know what was going on and that had seemed like the best thing to ask. Straight to the point, he thought.

When she looked up at him again, he could tell the apprehension was gone, which was a victory in itself...even if he didn't know how he'd done. After she had finally explained what was going on in terms that even he could understand, there was a moment of stunned silence before he let out a relieved breath. Pregnancy he could handle. He'd done it before and was more then happy to do it again.

Finally remembering the flowers he'd left on the hall table, he summoned them. "You know," he started, leaning forward slightly to brush a light kiss against her lips before presenting the flowers to her. "In the future, it might be better if you just tell me right away so I don't go on believing that someone had died or something equally as horrible."

Ginny took the flowers, a slight frown on her face even as she breathed in the sweet scent that the roses gave off. "No, there will be no future. Harry, we're going to have three children under the age of five. This is it. I don't mind that it happened, but we just can't keep popping out children every year. I'm not my mother, I don't have the patience for seven children." she replied, eventually turning her head to return the kiss. "You could be a bit more excited though." she grinned, "I just didn't know what to think. I know I've been sick, but I just thought I had gotten the bug that Albus had. It wasn't......well, this didn't even strike me as possible."

"That's fine, with me." he responded, with a smile. "I only meant, next time something is bothering you, tell me so I don't worry. I can always tell when something is wrong, I'm just not very good at guessing what it is."

He chuckled lightly at being more excited. Wrapping an arm around her he pulled her closer. "I don't think it's really sunk in yet. Once it does, you'll regret telling me to be more excited." she responded. "You know me. It will be James and Albus all over again and you'll be telling me to bugger off before you know it."

"Oh bloody hell I hope its a girl." she groaned, placing her roses on the coffee table in order to slide her arms around Harry's neck. "I don't need anymore boys in my life. They are everywhere." Ginny was only teasing of course, she would be happy as long as the child was healthy. "I have to go to the Healer next week, if you want to come. They'll figure out the date and that type of thing."

"But I do know you, you'll be buying minature brooms and quidditch jerseys before the month is out." she smiled, pressing a kiss to his mouth. "Just nothing from the Cannons or Tuntshill, this is strictly a Harpies household. Or Puddlemere on off weekends."

"I certainly wouldn't mind a girl." In all honesty, he'd hoped that Albus would be a girl. He didn't mind having another boy, but it would be nice to have a little girl. Rosie was simply adorable and he couldn't lie and say he didn't want one. "I want to go, I just need to know the date and time so I can book it off."

"Chudley or Tuntshill?" he laughed. "Surely I have better taste then that. If it makes you feel a little better, I'll try to hold off on the brooms until they are actually walking. Albus and the baby are safe for a little while, but James and I have a long overdue appointment with the Quidditch pitch."

"I know you wouldn't." she smiled, brushing her fingers along his jaw. "You said that when we were waiting on Al too. I even had to pick out a girls name, you were so certain it would be." Ginny hadn't minded, she always had appreciated that Harry was so invested in every aspect of their children. He had even went to the trouble to paint and assemble both of the nurseries, she actually didn't even remember asking him to do it. "I'll tell you as soon as I know something."

At his declaration of taking James to the pitch, she took a step backwards narrowing her eyes at her husband. "Harry Potter don't you dare put my child on an adult broom and do all those tricks, you'll scare him."

Harry released her for a moment to hold his hands up in surrender. "Alright, he won't be on an adult broom. I promise. He'll have a broom of his own." Grinning, he returned his arms around her. "Besides, you know I would never let him get hurt or scared. He'll be perfectly safe with me."

"I just want to watch them play Quidditch." he responded, grinning to himself. "It doesn't even matter to me what position they play. As long as at least one of them plays Quidditch, I'll die happy. And honestly, what are the chances of all of them hating the game. They've got Quidditch players on both sides of the family."

"Mmm, only because I told you not too." she replied, sinking onto the couch with a smile on her face. She knew Harry too well to fall for his claim of not attempting various tricks in order to impress his toddler son. He was still a boy himself when it came to quidditch.

With a chuckle Ginny rested her head against his shoulder, "I don't think you have to worry. James loves anything that could potentially get him in trouble or unlimited attention. And he loves anything that you love, he begs me every day to take him outside to ride the toy broom he got for Christmas. I keep explaining that its broken, but he just asks me to fix it."

Harry laughed lightly, placing a kiss in her hair. "Now you see, imagine all the trouble we'd get into if it wasn't for you."

He felt a small tug at his heartstrings at the mention of James. He knew exactly what Ginny was talking about. If the little guy wouldn't eat his food, or pick up his toys all it took was him seeing Harry doing it to get him to follow suit. There was a certain connection between James and himself that he simply adored. Don't get him wrong, he certainly loved Albus just as much as James, but Albus was the second child. Like most he had eyes only for his big brother. What James did, Albus had to do. "Speaking of the boys, where are they?"

"With Mum, I didn't know what sort of reaction you were going to have or how long a discussion this might be so I just thought it might be best if they weren't here for the show." Ginny sighed, sliding her fingers through his as she spoke. "I should probably go and get them. Mum has kept them for some portion of the day this week, and I hate just tossing them on her. She does have other things to do."

"You certainly didn't have to worry about my reaction." he responded, lightly, a sense of excitement starting to build within him. "And you know your mother, she loves having the kids at the house. After having 7 herself, I'm sure it's a bit odd to have the house to just themselves."

After a moment, he grinned. "If we go and get them, do I get to tell the boys?"

"If you want my mum to tell the rest of the world? Then yes. But if you want it to be just friends and family, then I suggest you wait until we get home. Then you can tell the boys. I'd rather tell the family all at once when we have dinner." she smiled, leaning over to kiss his cheek.

Ginny gave a small laugh at the thought of her oldest son and his possible reaction to the news. "I just wouldn't expect James to be happy about another baby. He still tells me that Albus cries too much."

Harry winced. "Perhaps it would be better if we waited until we were safely away from the Burrow before we told them." It wasn't that he didn't want Molly to know, it was just that he didn't want the entire world to know. Eventually, they wouldn't be able to hide it, but until then the news that there would be another Potter would be kept strictly between friends and family.

"James, I think, was just disappointed that he was no longer the baby. I think he'll be fine this time. Albus, I think, might have an issue with another baby being in the house." he responded, thinking it over. "But I suppose we'll just have to wait and see. If it is a girl things might be different then if it was another boy."

"I think that might be best. I don't want any unesscary attention." Ginny admitted, remembering all too well how the photographers hounded her during previous two pregnancies. The first had been due to her sudden leave from quidditch, everyone curious to find out the reason why. And the second had been vicious with the rumors and speculation when she had gotten pregnant again so soon. Ginny was hoping that the fact it had been a while would ease some of the attention.

"Hopefully he won't mind. He's not quite as desperate for attention as James, but this could always change his personality. I'm sure that will probably happen if it is a boy."

Harry inwardly winced at the mention of unwanted attention. If there was one thing he hated it was certainly that. The one thing that angered him even more was that he could do very little to prevent it. "Well hold it off for as long as we can." It was the only thing he could offer for the moment. If it got to bad they'd figure something out.

"No, James is a creature of his own, that's for sure." Harry responded, amused. "I think there might be more rivalry if it's a boy, on the other hand, if it's a girl she's going to have to deal with being the little sister."
