hey hey hey.
i'm vee and i'll be bringing the fierce bitch known as heather douglas lee into the beautiful reboots game. playing her is the equally fierce lucy liu. heather's personality is pretty much canon but her story has changed tremendously. instead of being orphaned and saved by the monks of titan, her parents were genetic engineers and were paid by the US military to test on their daughter. they were able to successfully merge an ancient artifact - the mind gem - into her body to create an omnipotent psychic. of course, neither they nor heather herself knows just how powerful she is. but they revered her like a God in containment (to make sure she didn't snap and brain fry them all) and was refused almost any human contact. this has made her ego entirely too large, her humility quite diminished, and her personality quite cold at times. when it comes down to it, heather looks out for herself but will help others if it benefits her. she was rescued by the avengers (who were the original holders of the mind gem before it got into the hands of the military) and now serves them to repay her debt. beyond telepathy, she's also a skilled telekinetic, a master martial artist and a trained geneticist/engineer (yay titanian secretsss!)
otherwise, i'm from COLORADO TOO. HOLY SHIT. never meet so many peeps from there. heather is up for every kind of SL, idea, thread, whatevs. she's pretty versatile and i'd like to play her in all kinds of different situations. IM me @ everett writes.

Hello, rebootsians! I am Cat and I hope I'm not the only person who periodically gets this stuck in their head after reading the comm name. I run on EST, a crazy work schedule and mountains of caffeine, and you can snag me at the romantic in me (do not fear the away, I'm usually not right in front of the computer but around).
This lovely lady is Clea, Supreme Sorceress of the Dark Dimension. She's just a bit aslant from her canon self in that she's much better trained and a little more of a warrior-magician as opposed to a high-powered damsel in distress. In this reality, Orini and Umar ended up getting emotionally attached to each other, so Clea had a relatively normal upbringing, or as normal an upbringing as a half-Faltinian, half-Mhuruuk wunderkind princess can have. She spent much of her life either solving the problems Dormammu and Umar had created by merging the Dark Dimension with other dimensions and studying magic to prepare for Dormammu's inevitable return. Long story short, when the lovely Lady Strange popped over to the Dark Dimension to kick some evil Faltine ass, she found a capable ally. Who is now dropping by to visit her regularly on Earth, oh snap.
Anyway! Yr plots, please and ty kindly. I am excited. So excited I needed to use italics.

Hi there! I'm Mary. Hm. I'm not really sure where to start, so I'll go with the basics. Mary isn't my real name, but its what I use online. I am an avid role player who lives in Colorado, and has that time zone, though my hours are sporadic due to my current status as a recent high school graduate. You'll probably find me in psl add communities, because I come up with a bunch of ideas and PSL's are where I feel most comfortable writing. If you have any ideas or want to do a line with me, Mary-Greenman is my main account. :)
I am bringing one character to the game so far, though I do plan on one more, if I can settle down and actually write the app (<-- procrastinator, thats my codename).
Cat (previously known as Kitty) is basically the same as canon, though she's a little more sarcastic and hard-edged. She grew up as a suburban native, but was forced out of her home when her father, a scientist, went a little too far in his obsession with her powers. Don't be fooled by her biting sarcasm, underneath that mask, she's actually quite optimistic and very much her little-sister figure self she was in the comics. To other players/characters she's known as Katherine Holland, Cat to her friends. She has a big brother in James, so romancers beware! Though Cat certainly wouldn't mind the attention... well you know how it is. Heh.
I've listed a few ideas for lines in Cat's history section, but for the most part it's pretty open ended. If you'd like to discuss a plot or anything, feel free to IM me or send me a comment on my main journal. I promise I won't bite. Hard.

Greetings and salutations fellow ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) rebootsians!! Now that I've managed to unearth myself from the torture of html-hell, I figure I should post my introduction before I march off to bed. Even if someone beat me to the punch of being the first post in the community. ( Jess, I'm looking at you.) Excuse any typos that may occur. Anyway, for those of you who dont know me, I'm Rafael (24, Coloradoan, supercalifragilisticexpialidocious...) and I'm bringing two lovely rebooted characters!
First up is my rebooted version of Jean Grey/Marvel Girl. Ladies and gentlemen I'd like to introduce you to John Grey (phoenixforces)! Aside from the obvious gender change, John's canon history has been completely revamped along with the beloved Phoenix Force. John no longer is the mutant avatar to a cosmic force that made Jean all kinds of craycray in the 616-verse. Instead, John was abducted by a crazy cult when he was young who invoked the Phoenix god into him. Needless to say he went all kinds of crazy and evil for a few years after that but eventually the founding team of Avengers rescued him and pulled him out of the cult before he killed any further people. Many years and tons of psychological counseling later, John grew up to be one of the good guys and ended up joining the ranks of The Avengers! So he went from possessed baddie child to possessed good guy. (Eh, it makes sense. Somehow...) Speaking of personality, John tends to be very direct and upfront with his opinion of things. He's very controlled of his emotions and reactions to things even if he's been known to go apeshit from time to time. (He is a force of destruction after all) At heart John is very much the protective type of those he cares about and can be quite loving to those he lets past his numerous defenses. Even if they are few and far between. There's a 'complicated' situation involving John and a certain Young Avenger but we'll let that unfold during the game~ But beyond that I left a lot of his history vague to welcome any lines he may have with potential friends, enemies or people he creeped the shit out of when he was all evil!
My second rebooted character is none other than Matt Murdock/Daredevil. Yep, folks I'm busting out some DD on y'all! Matt (daredevils) has been rebooted from head to toe. With the obvious ethnicity switch, Matt's blindness is not a result of a accident but a congenital birth defect. So unlike the comics, Matt grew up learning how to deal with being blind. Another reboot I added to the character was that Matt is now a mutant! Yep folks he's not only one of the X-Men but also one of their captains! The event that triggered his powers to surface was rather traumatic and had him locked up in a hospital for a couple of months. However while there he met an Empath who pushed him towards Moira Mactaggart who in turn introduced him to the original X-Men. For the most part Matt's been around the X-Community since he was a teenager and eventually ended up moving into the X-Institute once he began to climb the ranks of the X-Men. Presently he acts as a counselor for the institute and also teaches psychology to the students that attend their school. Matt's extremely loyal and diplomatic to those around him. However he can be a bit judgmental and brash at times. However for those he's known for a while, he can prove to be one hell of a leader and an excellent friend.
There you have it folks, a tl;dr introduction post by yours truly. More details about both characters can be read in their journals. But I'll cut to the chase and will say that I want sl's with each and everyone of you. So bring on any and all ideas that you may have! Hell, we could even come up with something ridic if you want to~ If you want to talk or w/e, you can usually reach me at age of rios.
