WHO: Neville and Frank Longbottom WHAT: Neville had a nightmare :'( WHEN: December 16, 1988; morning WHERE: Longbottom abode RATING/STATUS: G!/Incomplete
Neville, being the sensitive soul he was, had nightmares fairly regularly. Only once or twice a week, but still always at least once in a seven day period. When that happened, he would usually wake up crying, and if neither of his parents came into his room to calm him down - sometimes they slept too soundly to hear his soft cries - then he would go and lie in their bed with them. He was already eight years old, but nightmares always made him feel much younger. For one, because they scared him so intensely, and secondly because his parents comforted him like he was a little kid. Which he wasn't. He just felt like one.
That morning, there had been another nightmare. Neither Frank nor Alice had showed up by the time he woke, so Neville, sniffling, got up and snuck into their bed. His mum had gone, he noticed, which just left his dad.
"Daddy, I had a bad dream again," he said pitifully.
