We're home. The Ministry kept us for a day and we had to go to St. Mungo's and stuff, but we're back now and it's so bloody good to see Dad and know he's okay and see everyone else, too. Hexed to students [15 Jul 2008|02:45pm] bewarebeware If anyone was wondering if the war was starting again, we have our answer, complete with terror and disappearances and professors acting like first years daring a bully. Really, I sometimes wonder just what we're supposed to be learning from observing the behavior of our professors. If they're not getting themselves mysteriously killed, it's... Is that unfair? And to think that under other circumstances I'd be writing a satirical poem about the woman my father has seen fit to invite to spend the holidays with us, not contemplating the behavior of professors during wartime. Bloody hell, is it really war? What makes something a war? I don't remember the last one, except that eventually it ended and I realized that being frightened wasn't the natural state of grown-ups. It was like this, only more so, wasn't it? If it is war, will they start recruiting for both sides, or is this a private fight? Can't be, if they're kidnapping people in broad daylight. Who's next? I wish the world made more sense. I wish there was something I could do. Has anyone heard anything more about the Tonkses than what's in the paper and the dribs and drabs you can pick up over these journals? It's been days, and all I've heard is that they've been kidnapped, and something about a trade for the Carrows, but who knows if that's true. 5 comments|post comment
