Lucius was confused as hell. Why the hell had he seen Bellatrix's handwriting in Rodolphus's journal? That made no sense. She was dead, had been for years. So, Lucius decided to get some answers from his friend. Apparrating to Lestrange Manor he was determined to get what he came for. Reaching up, he knocked on the door and waited. If this was some kind of joke, he was seriously going to kill the person who did it. It was not at all funny and if Narcissa found out, she would be devestated so he was determined to get to the bottom of it as quickly as possible

Bellatrix was sitting in the parlor, reading the Daily Prophet and still trying to come to grips with the whole situation. She rested one hand on her large stomach and sighed. Rodolphus had been wonderful to her, really, just like he always had been. Still, she was worried something was wrong. He never talked about their son, and she loved him enough not to try to invade his mind.

She had sent the house elf to scrub the nursery when she heard the knock on the door. Only being in the next room, she stood up slowly and waddled to the front door. She opened it and blinked. "Mister Malfoy? What do I owe the pleasure of a visit?"

Lucius blinked as the door opened. Seeing Bellatri in person was a lot different to see Bellatrix alive, in person. Then there was the fact that she was pregnant which completely threw him. The only time she had been pregnant was from 1974... years and years ago. It made no sense.

Then she called him Mister Malfoy... that was unexpected. "Bella?" he asked softly then blinked. "Oh, I came to talk to Rodolphus about something," he finally said. "Though I suppose I can talk to you about it too."

Bella stepped back from the door, "Please come in. May I have the house elf get you something to drink?" It didn't even dawn on her this was Lucius. After all, he looked so much like his father.

"Rodolphus ran to Diagon Alley. What may I help you with?"

Lucius knew he looked like his father- but enough to be mistaken for him? He doubted it was that much. "Thank you," he said entering the house. "Perhaps just a glass of water?" he asked.

"That is fine, I am sure you can answer my questions," Lucius said politely. It was strange talking to Bella like he didn't know her... in some ways though he supposed that was true. "Has Rodolphus mentioned any unusual occurrences lately?" he asked curious
