Who: Marian and Open! What: Her arrival When: This afternoon, 2pm Where: Outside of Guises Rating: TBD
Marian stepped slowly down the aisle, features frosted over by the lace veil so carefully pinned on her curls. She'd caught sight of Guy outside, before the ceremony; obviously he'd not heard that it was bad luck to see your bride before the wedding. He probably thought himself above such superstition, especially since his plans had come together so neatly. After today, she would be Lady Gisborne and, even with King Richard returned from the Holy Land, Robin would be lost to her forever.
Breath caught as she moved closer, eyes sliding shut for a moment, in an effort to hide any emotion therein. She needed to get hold of herself; she had promised Guy that they would wed and she could not back out now. Swallowing hard, blue eyes slid open, frowning as she stopped, luckily before she ran into anything. This...was not the church. Suddenly it was rather hard to breath and the veil was thrown back off her face in an effort to remove any obstacles keeping the air from her lungs.
Marian whirled, petals fluttering down from her bouquet as she took in this strange place. She must be dreaming. She had to be. She must have fainted or... Marian couldn't even begin to contemplate what other option there was. Knees buckled beneath her, and she sat down, hard, on the rock-hard surface, leaning back against the building behind her. She just needed to breathe. Breathe and wake up.
