Winchester Family Reunion? (Dean, Dean, Sam...Goose!)
Sam had been through many a weird situation. This, however, pretty much took the cake. He couldn't help but stare at himself. Or, the other version of himself.

They'd been looking for this world's version of Dean and had found him. They'd also run into this world's version of Fred and the Sam from the City apparently. While Sam was relieved to have found his girlfriend, it was just slightly odd to have two Freds excusing themselves, leaving... two Sams and two Deans.

He rubbed at his forehead and gave the three a half-smile.

"I'm pretty sure this beats out time travel and the neverending Tuesdays at the Mystery Spot for the weirdest thing we've been through."

There were a lot of things that could be added to that list, but the result was still the same. This topped the list. Hands down.

"Heaven was pretty high on the list. And, yeah, time travel is kind of fucked." Dean looked between the two Sams then over at himself. Or the other him. It was almost like looking into a mirror, and it wasn't quite like that five year difference. No, they'd been through almost the same thing. Almost. He did get to be the lucky one though.

"Got a good place to get a cheeseburger?" The pained look on his other's face told him all he needed to know. He shared a wince and a shake of the head. It was not at all what they wanted to think about. The two of them loved their cheeseburgers.

"So, Sam...s. Sams. And me. This is kind of whacky and not in the Saturday morning cartoon kind of way." He shook his head and finally looked up at the sky. "That's where we need to be. Not here." He groaned.

"Still don't like Tuesdays," Sam muttered in agreement with his doppelganger. The list of weird was very long--more like a wall of weird maybe--but just when you thought you'd seen everything there was some new twist.

He'd already guessed that they weren't going to find much better than a soup kitchen, but they had bigger things to think about than food. "I don't think we're going to be able to get back up there on our own. I mean, unless someone's got some kind of a space shuttle?"

"Sorry, lent my last one out to Lion-o and He-man." Dean shook his head, knowing that his little brother, and it didn't matter if it was the one who belonged here or up in that whatever it was - they were Sam. He knew the other Dean would feel the same. He also had to smile when the other Dean smiled. Finally, someone who got his humor and wouldn't roll his eyes.

"No portal hopping types? No magical types? What about space...that thing actually travels through space? Like..."

"The Enterprise!" The two older Winchesters said it at the same time. Somehow the Dean from above didn't go into actually being on the ship in question. They just smiled and nodded, but they knew they'd have to get serious, so..

"Here's the deal. We were pulled here by cracks in reality. I don't know what he's told you.." Dean managed to point at the "right" little brother for him. "But, we don't have a way back. I'd whatever's going on, you two and everyone else who doesn't belong here was sucked in from that thing up there. Now, well, maybe we find the right crack and shove you all back through it." He ignored how funny that sounded, and shared a quick knowing look with his other self.

Sam shot a look toward his other self as the two Deans went off and running. It was a little eerie. Though he had no doubt that at some point, both Deans would start to get on each other's nerves.

He gave a sympathetic grimace to the Dean from the City.

"No cheeseburgers. There's a place around the corner that has mystery meat sandwiches that are probably as good as we're going to get here. Let's go there and we can try to come up with some sort of plan."

He looked over at the Dean from here.

"I haven't heard anything about people finding the cracks in reality and I don't know if they're visible or if they stay open very long. But maybe we could ask Zatanna about the teleportation?"

He knew exactly how Dean felt about Zatanna, but he had been the one to bring up magic types."

Dean shook his head.

"Not her. She got Fred into a deal with a demon." He didn't care that he had two other demon hunters with them. He wasn't going to let that woman in this, not again. "Not her asshat of a boyfriend either. There's Murphy's guy - Harry? I'm sure there are others. Bet the mutants got something they could do. She can't be the only one who knows a thing or two about teleportation.

"Wish we had a Scotty. Hell, a teleporter would be kick ass." He wasn't joking. Dean from above wanted to say something, but he didn't think the Enterprise would work that way. Probably. There had been a Spock. Maybe...

"Let's get something to eat. We need to get them back so that we can take care of our shit." There was always a way to get them back. Always. "We could talk to Cas. He may be low on mojo, but he's gotta know something."

Sam frowned. Anybody who got anybody into a demon deal was probably not going to be on the top of his list, but then, they'd all been there. He was a little surprise to hear the new Dean giving a possible stamp of approval to Harry Dresden. They hadn't really known theirs long enough to get to that point.

"Okay, food, then brainstorm," he agreed. "Who knows, maybe we're supposed to help sort out some shit before we go. Like Quantum Leap, only without the time travel."

"You are such a nerd." Dean patted his little brother's back. "And, food? Really? You're going to eat mystery meat?" He smirked. He really didn't know this Sam, who was supposed to be his, so well. He gave Sam another soft pat to the shoulder.

"Wait, wait." He looked between the other Winchester brothers. "You're cool with that jackass? Dresden? The man probably took a ride Gandalf's disco stick one too many times." A beat. "Cause it got stuck." Just in case they didn't understand.

"And you've got a Cas? We had a Cas, but he disappeared. You think it's the same Cas?" He actually sounded hopeful.

Sam was actually surprised that his world's version of Dean had been okay with the idea of asking Harry for help. But then again, he supposed Dean might have seen him as the lesser of two evils.

Sam quirked an eyebrow at the other Dean's description of Harry. Clearly, there was some sort of history there for Dean to dislike the guy that much.

"Cas didn't mention being in another world that takes people," Sam said. "He seemed to have come straight here from our world."

Sam wasn't even sure whose world 'our world' meant anymore. Were they all from the same world and just different points in the timeline? Or were they from slightly altered realities? Or possibly even greatly altered realities?

He sort of wished Fred was around at the moment to bounce theories off. He could always do that with this other Sam, but that was... a little too strange. And would they be able to get anywhere together? Or would it just be like brainstorming with himself?

Sam started to lead the way to the diner. While the City's Dean didn't seem too thrilled about the prospect of mystery meat, he knew Dean well enough to know that he wouldn't pass up food if it was the only choice available.

"It's not too bad." Dean was about to slap himself on the shoulder when he remembered a really bad movie with JCVD. Touching himself could lead to really bad things; he smirked at how that could be taken. Thankfully for everyone perhaps he didn't mention it. The raised hand moved higher to rub at the back of his own neck.

"Probably not the same Cas. Like the Sasquatch said, he'd have mentioned it. If he met any of the people, or met duplicates, something, he'd have said something. Then again, we haven't been overly chatty." He knew that wasn't really anything new.

"Something's going on with him." He shrugged. "Dude, get this." He had to shove his hands in his pockets to keep from smacking his clone. "Batman. Here. Me and Aidan met him. Oh, Sam, you should meet Aidan. Some murse that recently got dropped in. He's met Fred. Thinks she's doable." He was definitely starting shit for his new bud, but that was what buds did, right?

Sam was well aware of the sort of places that Dean's mind went. But he refrained from making jokes as well. But at least they were talking now. They hadn't talked in...too long.

"I eat meat," he said, "But unlike some people, I also eat vegetables." He smirked. "Dude, we met Batman, too. Well. Sort of. Helped rescue a kid from Arkham." As for Fred's doable factor, well, he just held his tongue.

"Hey. I eat vegetables." Dean actually looked offended. Actually he wasn't surprised that Sam didn't know about it. "I can't exactly skimp on them; don't want to listen to Dinah." He glanced at his other self.

"Sorry, man. Heard. Sucks." He didn't know what else to say. Thankfully his other self didn't seem too broken up, but he knew that they didn't always show how they felt, certainly not when things were bad.

"Yeah, Batman knows our names." He nodded, smiling. "I have been on the Enterprise." Yes, they might have to play that game for a little bit. Which Dean was cooler?

Dean had spent most of Sam's life trying to get a rise out of him. As such, Sam just sort of ignored the comment on Fred's doability. Of course, he might feel differently after meeting Aidan, but that was another story entirely.

He silently watched the exchanged between the two Deans regarding Dinah. His brother hadn't made a big deal about the break-up, but Sam knew well enough to know that it was still possible he was upset. It was... odd to Sam to think about the fact that both versions of Dean and Dinah had found each other. What had been the difference in that it had worked out for one set, but not the other? And why was it that the one set of Sam and Fred hadn't even gotten together, whereas himself and Fred...

There were any number of factors that could be different. For starters, they had already seen ample evidence that there were alternate realities. It was possible they were all different. And moreso, even if they had all been the exact same and drawn from the same point in time, circumstances might have changed the way things worked out. Hell, circumstances most likely had changed them.

It was all very strange to think about and he just hoped that they could find a way to put things right again. Or 'right,' since he wasn't really sure he bought into the idea that himself and Dean being in this world or the other version of Dean and Sam being in the City was what was meant to be. Then again, he wasn't entirely surprised that the other Dean was more eager to get back to the City than to get home. He seemed to have found an actual life there instead of loss piled upon loss piled upon crap. Sam thought about the fact that in this world and most likely in the City, there weren't any expectations from angels. They weren't all just puppets for the apocalypse. That was refreshing, even if he was leery of the chosen ones thing.

Once they reached the diner, Sam brought the group inside. The waitstaff and some of the customers certainly did give out some funny looks but he supposed it was a measure of just how much weirdness had happened here lately that everyone went back to their business after only a few seconds.

Dean nodded to one of his favorite waitresses, settling down at a table. His usual perhaps. He was something of a creature of habit, especially when it came to food.

"They have pie. But it's not as good as that one place in.." He was trying to think of it, and as if they came up with it together, "Texas!"

The two Deans were friendly for now. They knew each other; they also knew that they'd do anything to protect their own. They were very much the protective type, and if it meant throwing the other under the bus...well, they'd probably do that too. The Sams would be safe.

Sam pulled up a chair with his brothers--it was a strange thought, but he didn't know what else to call them--and started looking over the menu. It was even stranger when the two Deans started speaking in stereo, like twins. "Dude, if you say 'redrum' right now, so help me..."

"That was the kid, you dork." The Deans shook their heads in unison almost. Sometimes they wondered about their little brother. Both of them.

"So, we gotta talk to some people and get us back to where the hell we belong. We probably should get everyone from the City together. Or as many as we can find. There might be some pattern, something. It can't be all doubles, right?" He hoped that Dinah wasn't here. He didn't want her to have to see a place like this, or even know about the way they hadn't worked out here. He didn't think it was a good thing. He just needed to get back to her, that was all.

Sam shared a smirk with the other Sam at the 'redrum' comment. And he ignored the 'dork' insult. In fact, insults were the Winchester way of expressing affection.

"Getting everyone together is a good start," he said with a nod. "We know that you and Fred are here, but we can head back to the building for the chosen and ask around and see if anyone else has run into either people who aren't from around here are more doubles."

He could tell just how much the City's version of Dean wanted to get home, and he could only guess that it had more to do with his Dinah than with the lack of a good burger here, though knowing Dean it might be closer to equal than one might think.

"If there's a way, we'll find it," he reassured the City's version of Dean.

After all, the Winchesters were known for beating impossible odds and coming up with crazy plans for seemingly insurmountable situations.

Yes, Sam had just called his brother a pair of creepy little girls. And he'd known they'd call him on the reference. He didn't care. They hadn't traded insults in too long. This was how it was supposed to be.

He didn't have any particular pressing reason to get back to the City. But he knew they had to give it a shot. It was just the way they were.

"So how do we get in touch with people, if they've been dropped here?"
