reads!! Lend me your ears! [16 May 2009|10:39pm] sophian This place needs some more activity and a "check in" because I don't want anyone to forget about us. So! Since we're about halfway through the month now, I come bearing questions. But first! I have a suggestion for our next book. The History of Love - Nicole Krauss "Once upon a time there was a boy who loved a girl, and her laughter was a question he wanted to spend the rest of his life answering. When they were ten he asked her to marry him. When they were eleven he kissed her for the first time. When they were thirteen they got into a fight and for three weeks they didn’t talk. When they were fifteen she showed him the scar on her left breast. Their love was a secret they told no one. He promised her he would never love another girl as long as he lived. What if I die? she asked. Even then, he said." I read this one a few years ago and it is absolutely amazing. I would love to be able to read it again with all of you lovelies and then discuss how fabulous it is. And of course, I would be willing to scan this one. Now, onto the poll!
