Halloween

Like hell. I ignore him.

Justin crosses his arms over his chest and, head tilted at an angle, gives me the look.

I arch a brow, hoping it carries the appropriate amount of scorn, and drawl, "I've got no idea what you're talking about, Sunshine."

Justin rolls his eyes. Lindsay sighs. Mel glares. Gus… Gus just giggles and throws his arms around my legs.

My Sonny Boy understands me. And that understanding deserves a reward.

I pick him up and, for his ears only, whisper, "Nice costume, Mr. Fireman."
