D: Alright, you boys go whatever it is you need to do.I’ll just sit here and play solitaire.

Michael and Ben exchange looks. Is she never going to leave?

Clearly, it’s time to have a little talk.Gently, Michael tells Debbie that while he understands that she’s lonely with Vic gone, she can’t constantly keep coming over.Debbie immediately takes offense.
This is actually a pretty powerful scene between Michael and Debbie. In this episode and in 403, Debbie has been portrayed in a not-so-flattering light.Definitely a more complex and interesting take on the character than “loud-mouthed harridan with heart of gold.” We’ve seen how she controls those she loves by keeping them tied to her with bonds of guilt. Now Michael is trying to break free and all hell is breaking loose.

D: So what? You want to have one of those mothers who doesn’t give a crap?
M: Well, I can dream, can’t I?

There’s a knock on the door, but Deb and Michael are too busy yelling at each other to notice.Hunter goes to answer it, in his underwear. It’s the social worker!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;-)
