Clearly, passing_through and I are in need of help here at qaf_drabbles since we once again missed changing the prompt yesterday.
Therefore, I have an exciting announcement, besamislabios has graciously agreed to take pity on help us with this asylum.
Tonight will be her first post and I know you'll all be kind and write a million drabbles for her prompt. ;)
Also, it's possible that sometimes the prompt will be changed early on Wednesday instead of at night. I know you guys won't mind some variety.

Hi everyone. Just wanted to make a "housekeeping" post and review some of the Community guidelines.
1. Please make sure that you use the following header for your drabble(s):

Warnings/Author's Notes:
And the condom goes to:
If you're posting multiple drabbles, include a header on each one. Make sure to show the total numbers of condoms awarded in the first header. (ex: 4 to Justin). This will make it easier when we calculate the totals on Wednesday.
2. Tags - Please use the following format when tagging your drabble(s): Challenge # xxx: Prompt ex: Challenge #101: Breakfast
3. For more than one drabble, please use an LJ cut after the first drabble.
4. Out of challenge drabbles are always welcome. Just remember to note that in the "Warnings/Author's Notes"

I've been spending time basking in the 200 drabbles that the magical jule1122 & tweedygal wrote for us for the 100th celebration here.
I'm not all the way through them but I've read thru #75 for each of them and I must say that these are some of the best drabbles I've ever read.
I'll be finishing them up over the next couple of days and if you haven't taken the time to play in those posts, you're really missing out and you should go read right now!

Hello drabblers!
I'm popping in to let everyone know that we're extending the 'Tis the Season until Thursday, January 1, 9:00 pm EST. That way everyone will be able to ring in the New Year and still get their drabbles submitted.
happier_bunny and I have some really exciting challenge ideas for 2009 and we're looking forward to a busy year in the drabble community.

Hello fandom! We're going to extend the drabble prompt until next Wednesday, the 12th. Everyone has been so busy and things are a bit slow right now, so we thought that no one would mind if we spent another week drabbling about Justin :) I also have a favor to ask. As you can see, we're on prompt #90 (YAY!) and so far we've managed to come up with a unique prompt each week. Which is kind of hard sometimes because we want a prompt that inspires everyone to participate and yet is broad enough as to not constrain anyone's creativity. My favor is this; if you have any ideas that you’d like to see considered as prompts, please leave a comment and I’ll add them to my list of prompt ideas. Thanks for your help. Also, thanks to britin1729 and cuethepulse for drabbling this week and helping spread the Justin love!

* Announcing a new twist for qaf_drabbles and the battle for the condoms *
Beginning with challenge #71 there will be a “Three Wins and You're Taking a Break" rule.
What does that mean, you might ask. Well, when a character wins three weeks in a row, they get to sit out for the next week. On the fourth week, two new characters will be chosen randomly and the battle begins anew.

After a discussion with faile02 and bookgirl24, we've decided to try something new.
From now on, we're going to have a weekly CONDOM BATTLE between 2 people.
This is how things will work: Whichever character wins the most condoms today will move ahead to be matched up with a computer generated random character.
So, for example, if Ted wins today, he moves forward and then goes against Debbie (who was randomly picked). You can only award your condom to one of these 2 characters.
We really hope that this will be a lot of fun!

I've noticed some people are having problems tagging.
If you've written for us here before, you have an author tag created already and each week we're creating the Challenge tag.
It's important that you use this exactly as they are otherwise the system doesn't work. If you make any changes, there will be multiple tags with your name, making it hard to find all your drabbles and if you change the challenge tag, you can't just click on that and pull up all the challenges for that week.
LIST OF TAGS HERE These are all the tags that are already created.
If after, you post you click on the edit tag button, it's really easy to add the preexisting tags. Remember to hold down the control button to click on more than one.

Hello to all the drabblers and readers, it's your friendly neighborhood mod with a request.
First, faile02, bookgirl24 and I would like to thank xie_xie_xie and her bout of OCD last night for tagging all the drabbles since we came to IJ. Thanks XIE!
Now we just have to keep things up, so we have a request. From now on, we ask that you please tag your entry with your author name, like this: author: insert name here (most of you guys already have tags made, but if you don't - and I'd love to see new drabblers *hint hint* - we've enabled it so that you can create your own.
In addition, when we change out a challenge, we will be creating a tag for the new one for you guys to use throughout the week. bookgirl24 created this week's, it's challenge #57: arresting behavior, so please be sure to add that to your drabbles. Oh and if you write outside the challenge, there's a tag for that: outside of challenge.
This will help the asylum in 2 ways. One, people can click on your name and find all the drabbles written by you and two, they can click on a challenge and find all the drabbles written for that specific challenge.

Since I had a few people really dislike the last prompt, I added a second sentence. This one is not about spitting, hah!
Also, further clarifaction on the Month(ish) long challenge... yes, there will still be weekly prompts. All we're going to do, is at the end of the month, count up each writer's drabbles and see who wrote the most. The person that did gets a prize. Good? If you have questions about the challenge, leave them here, and I or happier_bunny will answer them as best as we can!

| Mod Post: Clarifacation on "Crossovers" |

Hey guys!
We've had some people asking Bunny and I to clarify what counts as a crossover and what doesn't. So here's our official response to that. (kittykat2305, I'm going to borrow your question. Hope that's alright!)
Can it be a cross over with a commercial? and also can it be kind of obscure, like not really interacting with them but seeing someone or something from another show and mocking it? Like if the boys are out in the woods for some reason and Brian hears the budweiser frogs can he mention it and then the rest of them just tell him he has done to many drugs? or do they have to actually interact?
Yes to all of the above. :-)
It can't be like, Brian reading an X-Men comic book, or be a dream. If Brian hears the Budweiser frogs, they have to actually BE there in the forest, not like, "Oh, that sounds like a Budweiser frog!" It has to be in the same universe as either our boys, or the crossover world, but for example, Michael can watch CNN where the top news story is the Avengers saving Spiderman, or something.
If you're unsure whether or not the drabble counts for the challenge, let either Bunny or I know, and if it does count, awesome condoms for brianjustin! If it doesn't count, that's alright, we'll still have something fun to read! |

| ATTENTION IJ QAF_DRABBLES MEMBERS |

You may be noticing that all of the old LJ qaf_drabbles community entries suddenly appeared on your IJ Flist. This is because qaf_drabbles entries were just migrated from LJ to IJ. Sorry, but there was no way around the Flist spammage. If you want to get rid of it, follow these steps:
1. From the IJ menu bar, select “My Friends” and then select “Edit Friends”.
2. Under the Your Friends section, find qaf_drabbles and check the “Delete” box. (You are removing the comm. from your Flist, NOT leaving the comm.)
3. Click the “Save Changes” button.
4. Return to your Flist and you should see that all of the migrated qaf_drabbles entries no longer show.
5. In a few days, or whenever you’ve had a chance to go through your IJ friends list and are done viewing recent entries, you can re-friend qaf_drabbles so that new entries start appearing on your flist.
I apologize for the inconvenience. Please let me know if you have any questions.
