1. Biscuit recipe shall be posted soon. I am exhausted so it may take a bit. But I give all who want the recipe full leave to bother me until I do indeed post it.
2. Full week ahead (or so it is starting to look like): as many of you remember, I worked today. I did get out half an hour early because the person I was shadowing went home early. Went home, changed, ate something and got to the theatre to learn spot light a mere few hours before the show. And now I am home resting a bit. But tomorrow I am working 1 to 9. And I'm sure I'll have a few more days to look forward to of a full working shift this week...I must bug them for a solid schedule. At least tell me my shifts for this week! Anyway...so yes there is that...and then Tuesday I probably will have to go to a neighboring town for jury duty and Thursday is pick up rehearsal where I can make notes about the other spot light and then Friday I am babysitting which I wouldn't do except that it's money right after and I need to put minutes on my phone. And somehow in the next couple of days, I need to go food shopping.
Next week? I'll obviously be working, but I'm filling in most likely for one of the spotlights (the one I'll be learning on Thursday this week) on the last three shows, Thursday Friday Saturday. Yes, yes I know...my job comes first. And it will. That's why tomorrow I'm going to ask for my schedule this week and find out if they're okay with me leaving at no later than 6:30 which I honestly don't think will be a huge problem because the store closes at 9. But if they're aren't, then I have time to tell the stage crew that they have to find someone else to fill because my bosses are being ass-hats.
And truthfully the only reason this is a tad overwhelming me is because I went from doing nothing at home to starting a job at full time hours plus being a slave to the theatre means me not saying no when it calls. Not that I'm not enjoying it...working and still able to do the theatre...but after the next two weeks...I'm going to want a couple of days off in a row or a couple of days in a row in which I only work four hours shifts. Which given I'm part time is more than likely... I know part of the problem is my mentality--part time job means I'm not working 5 days a week at work for 9 hours. To me...part time job means that I either have three days off a week or only work a partial shift five days a week.
Does all this mean I'm insane?
I'm starting to think it's likely.
And now I'm off to vegetate upstairs and ponder about how to deal with this new level of realization that I am likely insane.... |

I start work today--10 to 5.
Has anyone else had a first day of a part time job--or rather, a job that only requires a high school degree last 7 hours?
Not that I mind--means my first pay check will be good or I will only be working a few days a week instead of say 5 days on 4 hour shifts. Either or will be good.
Anyway, in addition to that, I'm on spot light at the theatre tonight.
I've read through my flist and checked my inbox, but if you don't hear from me...it is because I have collapsed into a heap on my bed with some hot chocolate and a good book--because it's likely I'll be working a couple more days before my first day off.

Yay! The casserole...was so much better today!
Recipe!
1/4 cup dry beans (I used red)
1 cup uncooked rice
1 cup frozen veggies (I used broccoli)
1 1/2 cup cheese (I used a mix of mozz, provolone, and chedder)
1/4 cup diced apple
1/4 cup dried sweetened cranberries
TT pepper, garlic powder, onion powder
Soak and cook the beans until they're soft. Cook rice until soft. Mix all ingredients together in a casserole dish and bake in a 350F oven for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and let sit for 5 minutes. Serve.
It's very, very yummy. The fruit adds some awesome sweetness to the dish. Why did I put fruit in there? *shrug* It seemed like a good idea. And it was :D
P.S. does anyone want the recipe for the cranberry cinnamon biscuits I made yesterday? I admit--it isn't my recipe, but it has no sugar in it except from the sweetened cranberries. |

I have no idea why but Season 4 - the pink posse storyline, which by the way as it goes on gets even more ridiculous and I can see why there's not a lot of love for it, makes me want to write kinky D/s porn fic (with or without spanking) or at least a battle of wills between Brian and Justin. I think it's their 'fight' rolling around on the floor. Oh and if Brian knew that there had been mutual jacking off, I'm sure he'd bend Sunshine over and give him one. (Any one you like.)
I also want to tackle a toppy!Justin fic. It's like a weird subgenre of our fandom but I rarely see any of the fics from Brian's POV. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place or whatever but I'm just so curious about how writers percieve Brian to feel about the whole thing. Plus it's kinda hot.
Hmm, I think this is coming from the whole D/s thing, as bottoming is generally submissive act but with a lot of power in it. I shall procrastinate and think about it some more.

| So... about yesterday. |

As some of you know, yesterday included a trip to the vampires and some of the usual testing. So, yeah, that tires me out anyway. But then, one of my closest friends called upset and in tears.
Let me say, cancer sucks.
Five years ago, she had to have a hysterectomy because of cancer. This past summer she finally hit her 5-year clear mark. Then yesterday she found out she has breast cancer.
Talk about a slap in the face. *sighs*
So, anyway. My mood still sucks. I can hold onto pissiness like nobody else. But, for Michi, I'm trying to let it go and be upbeat and what have you. We'll see how that works out.
Thanks for the emails. I didn't respond to them all, as some of you told me not to and for once I listened. But they did mean a lot. So, yeah, thanks for that. |
