Title: The Worst Holiday Season Ever
Setting: post-513 with Justin still in New York
Summary: It's not like Brian hates the Holiday season. He loathes it. And on Thanksgiving, Justin gives him one more reason to.
Author's Note This starts on a Thanksgiving and follows all 37 prompts in order. Sometimes it's one prompt!day per fic!day, sometimes I use more than one prompt to tell a day in the fic. Does that make sense? I hope it does when you read it.

Restless Now that the weekend is over, Brian can focus on work again. He has a new account to take care of but instead of jotting down ideas, he paces his office. The news of Justin not making it for the Holidays upsets him more than it should. Brian had been looking forward to spending time with his partner, even if it meant enduring Justin's love for all kinds of Christmas traditions. Now he has to attend Christmas dinner at Michael and Ben's by himself. And if he hates one thing more than than faux family festivities, it's their pitying looks. The Last Time It has been bad enough when Justin had been in LA. Add the Holidays to the mix and there would be an onslaught of “Poor Brian, all alone...” He can't get drunk enough on eggnog to make it through that. Maybe he should stay home, order take-out, watch an old movie. Just like he had last Christmas and the year before that. Only that he had believed this time would be different. It could have been just him and Justin, maybe Justin would have cooked and they could have curled up made love fucked in front of the fire. The Truth Hurts The thought of that, of a Christmas right out of a catalog, makes Brian shudder. What is even worse, though, is that he wants all that. Actually, he wants it since he is a kid. A normal Christmas. A Christmas where the father doesn't pass out drunk, where the mother doesn't give biblical lectures, where the sister doesn't cry because she didn't get what she wanted. He wants his peace and quite for a change. Just that one time a year, he wants to be like everybody else. And most of all, he wants to have all this with Justin.
