Challenge #197: Weddings and Funerals
Title: Bitter Conclusions
Timeframe: Pre-series
And the Condom Goes To: Funerals

On those nights when his old man would come home reeking of booze and pussy, Brian would crack open the window in his bedroom, watching the smoke from his cigarette curl away into the darkness, wishing he could disappear just as easily.

When the screaming and crashing sounds would start, he’d feel the tension coil tightly through his body, silently agreeing with his mother’s bitter conclusion that she never should have married Jack’s cheating Irish ass.

Brian decided after a thousand too many nights of tears and pain, that people who cried at weddings had the right idea after all.

Beautiful drabble. Oh, I want to hug Brian so tight and tell him that everything will be okay.

I'm still lost in Twitter-lol! I don't know who anyone is, (like dirtytalorr), and half the time I don't even realize someone tweeted me directly until hours later. I'm slow on the uptake with technology.

I have a smart phone now though, so I think I'll start getting better at it! ;)

Poor Brian. :( It's no wonder he grew up to hate marriage and fear relationships. It's so sad to think that this is what his childhood was like.
