“So what’s it like?” Daphne asked after a week.

“Not bad,” Justin shrugged. “Not as cool as living with Brian, but better than home. Except. . .”

“Except what?” Daphne prodded, not wanting to think about how Justin couldn’t go home. As much as her parents annoyed her, she couldn’t imagine living somewhere else.

“Debbie calls me Sunshine,” Justin complained. “All the time.”

Daphne giggled. “It could be worse.”

“Whatever. I have to go, or I’ll be late for work.” Justin bumped her gently before turning away.

“See you later, Sunshine!” Daphne called out, laughing even harder when Justin flipped her off.
