Challenge # 111: Vacation

Title:  Diversion
Author's Notes:  S4 Timeframe. And I personally love Delaware!
And the condom goes to: Michael

I push his hair back gently from his face as he retches into the toilet, my heart breaking a little bit each time he pauses to gasp for air. He slumps against the bathroom wall, pale and shivering under a fleece blanket.

“You know what?” I curl into him, adding my warmth to the mix. “After you’re done radiation, we can vacation someplace warm and sunny.”

His bloodshot eyes peer at me like I’ve sprouted wings, but I’ve got his attention.

“Like where?” he croaks out.

“Rehobeth Beach….I hear it's gay-friendly.”

“Fucking Delaware?” he laughs in disbelief.

Mission accomplished.

Yeah.. that whole arc kinda broke my heart a little...but it was beautiful at the same time.

You have a little typo...should be "retches" instead of "retchs" in the first sentence.
