“Mikey, what’s this?” Brian laughs, snatching the notebook from his lap. They’re hiding in the science lab while their breeder classmates lunch in the cafeteria. It’s freezing balls outside, so everyone’s stuck inside sharing the same germ infested air.

“Nothing,” he stammers.

Brian looks at the paper. It’s scribbled with dozens of Mikey and Brian BFFs.

“You’re so pathetic,” chides Brian. Michael sticks out his tongue and glares, only he looks like a hamster hording food in his cheeks.

Yet later, when Michael’s in gym and he’s in Pre-calculus, Brian finds himself penning BFF in the margins of his paper.

Glad he doesn't look like a hamster anymore though, but I would still love him even if he did :)
