He’s terrified, panic replacing the elation of the flight since he stepped inside the yellow cab.
He barely takes in the non-descript view along the freeway, his mind returning to a country manor, rings, sex-soaked sheets…
He’s about to tell the driver to turn around, when he sees it: the New York skyline at night.
It sparkles like glitter.
That’s when he hears the song on the radio:
So many adventures couldn't happen today
So many songs we forgot to play
So many dreams swinging out of the blue
We let them come true.
He remembers, breathes, continues his journey.
