Whore In A Hoody





His name booms over the loudspeaker. “Justin Taylor”, the entire row, Debbie, Emmett, Michael, Ben, Mel, Lindz, Gus, and yes, me, stand up and cheer him. His smile makes the May sunshine seem dim in comparison as he picks up his diploma and crosses the stage.

We all go back to Debbie's, although he’s lived with me for the last two years. I find him in his old room, staring at the parchment. “Weird.”

I wrap my arms around him. “I knew you could do it.”

He tilts his head so I can kiss his neck. “I wasn’t so sure.”

I really wasn’t always sure, but he has a way of pushing that reminds you how strong you can be. When my book was published, when it made the non-fiction bestseller list, when I wanted to hide myself and my past but no longer could… he was there. When my senior project won not only accolades but also a spot in a prestigious gallery, he took it as my due.

I turn around in his arms. “Who would have thought I could make more selling my art than my ass?”

He smiles. He never doubted it.

“I love you, Brian”

This is where Strongbad would say "It over!"

I, like many I'm sure, am sad to see it over but you're right you ended it on a positive note. It still amazes me how a prompt like "Justin's hoody" could inspire this.

I loved every second dark or not and I plan to go back through and re-read it all. Great job Vamp, hopefully you get some inspiration to run with another prompt and produce something half as good as this.

Ohgodno...it's over? That came so abruptly. I wasn't prepared. *cries*

That said - I really loved this story. It was dark, difficult to read at times, frustrating, emotionally heart wrenching and just really, really beautiful.

Thank you for sharing it with us.

Oh and I love the epilogue. Even if it IS the epilogue. *cries some more*

I figured this quote from "Tommy" would convey it better than I could. You ran the gamut on this, from hot to scary to heartbreaking to uplifitng and back again. Great job, Vamp. I'll miss the daily "fix", but other fics must be written. Thanks for the ride, lady!!

Wow! I kinda feel empty now... kinda like after I watched the entire series in a week for the first time and reached 513. That's it. There's no more. :(

Now what will I look forward to each day?

Beautiful , and I loved your ending!! Yes, I will MISS this more than you know. It was a Great Ride, and I am so happy I got to be a part of it! BTW, you can always write 801 to 999, assuming that Epilogue = 1000 -- I'm sure your readers wouldn't mind.
