Ben looked up as Michael walked in the door, laden down with bags.
“How was the shopping trip?”
“Don’t ask!”
“That bad?”
”I’m tired, my feet hurt and I have a headache!”
“Poor baby!”
Ben took the parcels from Michael and picked him up, carrying him upstairs to the bathroom.
He undressed him, and lifted him into the deep sweet smelling bubble bath he had run moments earlier.
He washed him gently then dried him and led him to the bed, laying him down before climbing in. He wrapped him in his arms, smiling when he heard his soft snores.
