*Challenge #46: e.e. cummings*
Title: This and That
Warnings/Author's Notes: This one is odd. Please feel free to offer criticism. I honestly don't mind, in fact, I'd like people to do that more often. :D
And the condom goes to: Brian.

Justin kissed a line from Brian’s thigh to the crease in his leg. Between kisses, he mouthed something, almost silently.

"What the fuck are you saying?" Brian asked.

Justin looked up sheepishly. "Just a line from a poem."

"Let’s hear it."

" 'I like kissing this and that of you.' "

"I prefer 'they speak whatever’s on their mind, they do whatever’s in their pants, the boys I mean are not refined, they shake the mountains when they dance.' "

Justin laughed. Brian pretended to look pained. "You don’t like it?"

"I like mine better."

"Actually, so do I. Keep kissing."

sorry, can't criticize...i love it!

lots of fun:

"I prefer 'they speak whatever’s on their mind, they do whatever’s in their pants, the boys I mean are not refined, they shake the mountains when they dance.' "

and as you can see, i rarely capitalize a letter, like e.e. cummings!!

Hehehe...I used to be a non-cap typist, but it started making me type that way for work, so I stopped!

And thank you...for kind comments on the drabble. Lynna

they are so smart, those boys...i love that they are both so literary...and get each other's references...you captured that so sweetly!

Thank you. And they *are* smart. Smarter than I am, which definitely makes for a challenge! I was *really* taken by the poem though and wanted to write for this one...

Err, why did you think this was odd? It's quite, quite lovely and IC.

*shrugs* I'm not sure how to explain it, but it's like the drabbles I've written lately just appear. I sat down to write this morning and didn't have anything already written in my mind like I often do. So then when it was done, I was slightly surprised...

That probably makes NO sense at all. Also, I haven't been getting anything beta'd lately. That might be part of it.

But...thank you for "it's quite, quite lovely and IC." :)

This is sweet! Whether or not either of them would spout poetry in bed is perhaps up for debate, but I think it works. :-)

It totally *IS*...but I think that if Justin was caught up in the moment, feeling romantic, he might let something like that slip. And Brian...*IF* he wasn't in a completely snarky mood, and if Justin's kissing him like that then he's probably NOT, would just *have* to show Justin that he knows a thing or two about cummings as well. I'm just saying...

And I'm glad you thought it was sweet...thank you!!

OK, I liked this. A lot. I second what [info]secretsolitaire said, BUT I definitely think that if Justin had said what he did, Brian would absolutely have responded as he did here. So for me, it works. And yay, you for accomplishing it!

Oh my god, I love it. I love it so much. Two poems! Two of my favorites, from my favorite poet! I love you!

I really like how you worked Brian's literary wit into it, and Justin's vague sense of romance.

Eeee! I'm sorry, cummings excites me.
