“I dare you.”
“There’s no dare involved; it’s a sure thing,” Gus said confidently. “All I have to do is say ‘Dad, can I have some condoms?’”
“Then why won’t you get me some?”
“Are you fucking insane? If Mama found out I got condoms from my dad and gave them to you, she’d string him up by his last good ball. Listen, squirt, if your boyfriend,” he emphasized with air quotes, “can’t buy them like a real man, maybe he isn’t man enough to use them.”
“You sound like Mom,” Jenny pouted.
