Title: Distractions Author: brianswalk Word Count: 100 Prompt: December 31/New Years Eve A/N: All my thanks go to Jeannie. Any remaining mistakes are mine or intentional. Another drabylon dollar!
Distractions:
“Weren’t you going carousing with Emmett?”
“Silly me,” Justin quipped as he removed his coat and scarf. “I wanted to spend New Years Eve with you.”
“I don’t have time for distractions, Sunshine,” Brian reasoned in vain as Justin peeled away his sweater.
“They say what you’re doing at the stroke of midnight correlates directly to the rest of your year. Now the question is,” he purred as he teased his zipper down, “what would you like to be stroking at midnight?”
“Fine, one quick distraction,” Brian conceded as he kicked off his shoes, “then I have work to finish.” |

All Is Calm
Emmett’s antics redefined the term screaming faggot when Brian shoved snow down his pants. Defending the fair damsel’s honor, Brian was promptly tackled into a snowdrift by Michael and Justin. Ted, who had nestled himself into an easily defended corner of the yard, was feeling left out so commenced to bombard Ben with little white projectiles, surprising them both with his deadly accuracy. Watching her boys from the kitchen window, Deb snuggled deeper into Carl’s embrace. “You’re awfully quiet,” Carl murmured in her ear. “Should I be worried?”
“Nope,” she replied smiling serenely. “Everything is just as it should be.” |

Ted accepted the sparkling cider Debbie handed him as midnight approached. He took a sip and made a face.
“Too sweet?” Blake asked, sipping his own cider.
“It’s not champagne I miss; it’s the choice,” Ted sighed.
“You still have a choice, Ted, and you make the right one every day you stay clean.”
“Do you ever stop wishing it never happened?”
“Not really.” Blake never lied to Ted. “But I love our life and who I am today. Every choice brought me here, and while it’s not the journey I would have chosen, I’m pretty happy with the destination.” |

“So what are your resolutions, boys?” Debbie asked as she handed out their breakfasts.
“I’m going to stop worry so much.”
“Good luck with that one, Mikey,” Brian rolled his eyes.
“I’m going to find a way to go back to school,” Blake added.
“That’s wonderful; let me know if I can help.” Ben smiled at Blake. “I want to use mediation more regularly.”
“I’m going to add more flair to my events.”
“More flair?” Ted stared at Emmett.
“You can never be too fabulous,” Emmett shrugged. “What about you Brian?”
Brian raised a brow. “You can’t improve on perfection.” |

Title: Ringing in the New Year Author: jule1122 Prompt: New Year's Eve
“You could be in Times Square right now.”
“With a million screaming people, freezing my ass off and trying to catch a glimpse of some stupid ball. No thanks.” Justin shuddered, sinking lower on Brian’s cock and making Brian gasp. Justin stretched his arm back and stroked Brian’s testicles. “I have all the balls I need right here.”
Brian laughed, thrusting his hips up and pushing deeper into Justin. “Don’t worry, Sunshine, you won’t miss the fireworks.” Brian thrust up again.
“Shut up and fuck me,” Justin laughed before leaning down and kissing Brian just as the clock struck midnight. |

“You should talk to Lindsay, Brian. She’s been acting weird. Did you know that she didn’t want to stay with us at first? I overheard Mel and Michael talking about it.”
“Yeah… Mikey told me.”
Brian sighed.
“Linds should get a life… and keep her nose out of ours. She doesn’t say it out loud but she has a problem with the baby. Afraid that he might replace Gus in my life.”
Justin nodded. “And her.”
Brian held out his hand to him with a crooked smile.
“It’s almost midnight, Sunshine. Come on, I saved the last dance for you.” . . |

A light smack on his butt roused Justin from his deep slumber and he mumbled a feeble complaint.
“Rise and shine, sonny boy, it’s a new year. You better get used to getting up early now.”
His next complaint was cut short by a gentle bite into his left butt cheek.
They met Daphne at the breakfast table, both greeting her with kisses on her smiling face.
“Shoveling down huge amounts of food again?” Brian teased her.
“Happy New Year, Daphne,” Justin beamed at his best friend.
“Happy New Year! This will be the most exciting year of our lives.” . . |

Title: New Dad Author: notreallyme10 Prompt(s): Dec. 19: Fathers and sons Notes: Thanks to Xie for looking this over for me!
Michael never had a father and sometimes when Hunter is being particularly angry and hateful he wants to point out that he would have given anything to have a father like himself.
But then he remembers that even without a father, he had a childhood filled with love and affection... maybe even a little too much. And Hunter had none of that.
So he bites his tongue and lets Hunter’s anger wash over him. It’s hard, but slowly Hunter seems to realize that no matter how hard he pushes, Ben and Michael aren’t going anywhere. And then it’s worth it. |

Title: What Love Means Author: notreallyme10 Prompt(s): Dec. 7: Red Roses Notes: Thank you Xie!
It took Ethan for Justin to learn that red roses on Valentines Day don’t really mean anything.
But it took Brian much longer to realize that when Justin talks about love, commitment and family it doesn’t have to mean babies, white picket fences and extreme boredom. Instead it means a loft in Soho, spending time with loved ones and the best sex Brian’s ever had.
Roses are nice, but what Justin really wants is a future. And Brian always wants to fuck Justin... now and even ten years from now, so he figures that means he wants a future, too. |

Title: Home for the Holidays 35: Regret Author: frantic_quest Prompt: December 30: "It wouldn't be New Year's if I didn't have regrets." ~William Thomas Notes: Season 1 Drabble Series for drabylon dollars!
Brian stood before the window, cigarette in hand, watching the city below rushing to get ready for the start of a new year.
He wasn’t a nostalgic man, but he considered himself honest, and the past year had caused him to question some long-held beliefs.
He’d never admit it in the cold light of day, but something deep within his core had shifted in ways that he knew he could never reverse.
Gus had innocently started the process, with Justin somehow close behind, and Brian’s only regret was that someday their eyes would reflect the disgust and disappointment he deserved. |

Title: Home for the Holidays 36: Booty Call Author: frantic_quest Prompt: December 31: New Years Eve Notes: Season 1 Drabble Series for drabylon dollars!
It was New Year’s Eve and Babylon was at its decadent best. Brian rested his arms on the rails of the catwalk, surveying the writhing masses of fags hoping to get lucky before midnight. He was trying to look nonchalant, but his eyes kept straying to the entrance of the club, searching for a blond twat who apparently needed a fucking personal invitation to drag his bubble butt to the party. Brian dialed Deb’s. “Hey,Vic. Is there a teenaged drama queen moping around the house?”
He listened, then sighed, “Tell him to have his ass out front in ten minutes.” |

Title: Home for the Holidays 37: A Happy New Year Author: frantic_quest Prompt: December 31: New Year's Day Notes: Season 1 Drabble Series for drabylon dollars!
Justin came downstairs to Deb’s mostly empty kitchen, disappointed that Brian seemed to have left without saying good-bye again.
The holiday season was officially over, and Justin felt no closer to being a permanent part of Brian’s life now than he had on Thanksgiving Day.
He gave Deb a weak smile at her sympathetic glance.
The front door suddenly opened and Brian stuck his head inside. “Ready, Justin?” “Huh?” Justin responded in confusion.
“The fucking holidays are over, it’s time to go home. Aren’t you coming?”
Justin intercepted Vic’s knowing wink.
The New Year was off to a miraculous start. |
