Authors Notes: These do not have a beta, so all mistakes are mine. I hope you like them, they just came to me. They're a crossover between Brian and Justin and Shane from the L Word, my three favorite people! And an additional note, I have NOTHING against the way Melanie looks, okay? She makes me wet drool, I just wanted Justin to say something that would get through to Brian.

Title: His Dark Materials drabble trilogy

Timeline: N/A except for one which is inspired by early S2
Author's Notes: Right now I am really into reading Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials books (which include The Golden Compass, soon to be released as a film), and I couldn't resist stealing his concept of dæmons for a crossover, despite the fact that these two fandoms might have very little overlap. If you have no idea what dæmons are all about, Wikipedia gives a good crash course, and I'd love some feedback since I've never even written drabbles before, just greatly enjoyed reading those of others :)
FYI: The drabbles are named after symbols on the alethiometer that have some kind of relevant symbolism...Yeah, I was pretty strapped for titles.

“Is that even a real word?”
“Yes this something commonly spelled by ten year olds.”
“I don’t have a clue how to spell that... I think I am going to have to drop out.”
Pressing the buzzer the drop out icon crushes to the bottom of the line.
Putting his hand on Justin’s shoulder Jeff asks “Remember the deal we had in the start?”
Justin looked right into the camera and stated “I got a 1500 on my SATs but I am not smarter then a 5th grader.” |

“No.” Emmett crossed his arms and glared at Ted across the diner table.
Ted sighed. “I can’t believe the ferocious fighting fag from Hazelhurst is too faint-hearted to see a horror movie. An unbelievable, unrealistic horror movie.”
“I’m not faint-hearted. I’m sensitive.”
Justin patted Emmett’s arm. “We’ll hold your hand.”
“Who’ll be there to hold my hand when I have nightmares for a week after seeing it?”
“Would everyone shut the fuck up?” Brian pushed aside his uneaten breakfast, and stood up. “Emmett can make up his own mind.”
He threw $20 on the table, and headed for the door. |

“I know.”
“Brian, Michael sang a love song about a rat. There was a love song written about a rat.”
“I know.”
Justin shuddered. Brian sat next to him, pulling him in for a kiss.
“Brian.”
“Hmmm?”
“We don’t have a song.”
Brian decided not to argue the point. If Justin couldn’t remember… then it wasn’t really their song. |

Emmett sighed. “I wish they’d made the Rage movie. JT floating in space and Rage imprisoned in the caverns while the clones destroyed Gayopolis…"
“How the fuck did I ever think that up? Poor Rage.”
“Yeah, baby, that’s good. Let Brian, I mean, Rage, know you’re sorry for him.”
