Challenge #33 Crossover - QAF / The Office
Title: The Job Interview
Warnings/Author's Notes: Season 4, after Brian receives the job offer in Scranton for half his previous salary. (I've been sitting on this plot bunny for months, I'm so glad I finally got it out :D)
And the condom goes to: Michael Scott Ted

"How did it go?"

"Well, I used to think Pittsburgh was a hellhole. But now I've been to Scranton."

"So you're not taking the job then, we're not moving?"

"No. Fucking. Way. I'd rather collect unemployment."

"What happened?"

"They had me meet with one of their clients. The fucking regional manager of Dunder Muffs... or something like that."

"And?"

"He took me to Hooters."

"Shit!"

"Wait until you hear his brilliant marketing idea."

"Okay..."

"Golden Tickets!"

"What?"

"Hidden in cartons of paper."

"No!"

"It gets worse. He wants to hire midgets in costumes to man the paper factory too."

Oh.My.Freakin.God.

I was writing the EXACT same sort of drabble...really. I said I wasn't doing one, then I thought that Dunder-Mifflin would be the *perfect* client for Brian to go through hell with. Especially since Brian was offered that job in Scranton.

I am so glad you wrote this! I LOVE it. The Office is the only TV show I don't miss...

I've been hooked on The Office for a year now... I walk the very thin line of being in a second fandom. I've made the icons, joined a comm, read a little fic and now I've written one too. It's getting harder to deny.

When I rewatched season 4 a few months back and heard Brian say Scranton, I practically squeed. This has been aching to be written. I hope you still give it a go and post too :D

That's so adorable. I love the show, (it replaced my crazy-mad love for Arrested Development when it was cancelled) but don't see myself falling into the fandom...I can barely keep up with QaF!!!

I dunno about writing my own...so far I have Pam flumping for Brian when he comes in the office and Dwight sniffing around him like a dog in heat...but not much else!

Don't forget Oscar, particularly because he wasn't out to his co-workers at that time.

Yup. My daughter just told me I *had* to use Oscar in the drabble *AND* give her credit for telling me to!

omg, you're two-timing us! lol Everyone I know has watched and adored both the UK and US versions of this show. I've just gotta get on the bandwagon one of these days.

I don't think it really counts as two timing if the only fic I have read is by Juteux. (does it?? hmmmmm *is in denial*)

I've never seen the Office. I never will. I don't get this drabble at all, and yet it was still totally amusing and your Brian voice was perfect.

Yay!

Thank you. Brian doesn't tolerate idiots very well, he'd feel Michael Scott was a complete waste of his time.

I think Brian probably attracted some Hooter girls, don't you think? I can see him rolling his eyes as one of the girls brush pass him. Then he goes, "Not interested, honey." hehehehe
