I realized today that I haven't shared my recipe for homemade cheese spread. (If there's been a variation posted...I apologize...)

Homemade Cheese Spread

1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp each: thyme, rosemary, basil

Whip all ingredients together. Store in a container with a cover in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Variations: whip in some crumbled feta or blue cheese for a bit of a tang.

Sounds tasty, and I really like the thought of adding feta. It sounds like one of those recipes you could easily customize to your personal tastes. Do you use fresh herbs?

Thanks for sharing!

It's a recipe I adapted from "Southern Living" and have used since. It called for blue cheese, but since I'm allergic, I used feta and the original recipe didn't call for herbs. I buy my herbs from my local co-op so...I think they are a bit fresh. Not too sure though...

your welcome ^^
