Oh an actual date...not that it feels like forever that I've hung out with all of you?

Does lurking count? Because then I've been lurking and reading the stories since 2006 (so long ago that I don't remember). I delurked at this years friending party.

Well, I came out during this year's friending party (Feb 28th) but I'd been lurking around for wayyy too long. Like, embarrassingly long. *iz cool*

9-24-08 here on ij; Feb 08 on lj for qaf but I mostly lurked there. I'm multi-fandom there still.

I posted on the 08 friending party never thinking anyone would answer me since I was like 6 months late to the party, but I think bunny welcomed me superquick and then I lurked around some joining asylums and reading fics and meta before I got up the nerve to enter the Sex in Public Places Challenge and s-l-o-w-l-y joined in other activities.

I migrated from LJ. My LJ was created on 1/17/06 but I was at the Showtime boards before that. I think it was around June/July 2005 when I started checking out the Sho Boards.

I made it in just under the wire, I suppose, to be called class of '08. I think I lurked a bit before creating a username, but then immediately posted to the next day because I couldn't contain the giddiness of noticing that as soon as I signed up, Tweak said, "The backroom is now open boys." It was like the whole backroom opened up for me *laughs at my own TERRIBLE joke*
But I count my "Offical" coming out day as Valentine's Day 2009 Justin's Magically Heart-Shaped Ass day, because that's when I decided to get over my nervousness and started friending people. Probably because I was feeling Teh Love that day.

1/29/09 is when I created my IJ and that's what I count as my coming out. Before that I was on LJ, but had just been lurking and reading for a couple of months.

I started watching QaF on 1/14/05, finished all four available seasons within a few weeks (then later watched S5 as it aired from 5-8/05).

I found fandom in early 2/05.
Read, lurked around, and commented anonymously pretty much everywhere for awhile.
Joined some fandom yahoogroups in mid-4/05.
Created my LJ on 5/17/05.
Don't know exactly when I first started commenting on LJ -- somewhere within the few weeks before or after I created my own.
First posted to my LJ on 7/23/05 (nothing inspired me to before then).
Added an IJ on 8/4/07.

I play fairly equally on LJ, IJ, and rramblers now.

So, my QaF born on date was 1/14/05.
But the date of my QaF Fandom Coming Out Anniversary? Not so clear. I first started commenting non-anonymously in various places in mid 5/05, so I suppose that's it.

I was on eljay with a different user name from July 07 although I mostly lurked over there. Born again here on 2008-01-12!

QAF was aired the first time in German TV January, 2006. I watched it a few times, but because it came so late I forgot about it. Can you believe that? Than in fall/winter 2006 I watched again, it was season 4 and I stayed! Because I'm a sneaky little fucker very interested, I searched around in the web and found vids, fanfiction....... Before season 5 was aired I orderd the DVD box from the US and paid with my christmas bonus.
I was a lurker almost half a year before I created my LJ July 04, 2008. Then I found IJ.
I created my IJ January 16, 2009. But my love belongs to IJ the most of the time!

I discovered Queer as Folk on YT on 2007-10-27. The following weeks I was busy with watching the show. After that I surfed through the world wide web and found fandom.
My LJ exists since 2007-08-15 which had nothing to do with QaF fandom then. I found some closed communities on LJ which were migrated to IJ and I followed them to lurk around. I created my IJ on 2008-01-29.
I delurked on the first friending party on 2008-03-17.

But I consider myself to be still a big lurker because I still suck at leaving comments and I suck at replying to them. But believe me, I read and love every single comment on my posts and read every post on my f'list.

First QAF-related post: Sept 10, 2008.

Because I couldn't contain my excitement about having found "my people" (I like that :)) here on IJ, less than a week or so before that!

My first QaF-related post was on January 19, 2007. (Would link but it's locked over at LJ.) I said, and I quote:

Sorry I've been a bit scarce around these parts, particularly with reading/commenting. I'm actually in the throes of a rather scary Queer as Folk obsession ("scary" as in watching YouTube clips and reading fanfic until 4 a.m. when I have to get up for work at 7). Brian Kinney and Justin Taylor seem to have set up a permanent camp inside my brain -- I don't think I've flailed so much over a couple since Remus/Sirius. ;-) Of course I'm always the last to discover things like this, so the show's been over for more than a year (and so has much of the fandom, it appears).

I went back into my email account, and found what I think is the first mention of QAF to anyone.

There's one where I commented to someone's journal (journal since deleted) where I posted the link to Ethan's vids. This was before I ever watched the show. It was 9/14/05.

The first QAF LJ that I commented on was, of course, Ethan. That was 11/4/05.

So, which one is my anniversary date? Tell me, oh defenders of Teh Love!!!
