Remember that time I showed bunny a 15 page meta I'd written and she said I should boil it down to one sentence?
I did it on my own this time. And here's the sentence:
Fan fiction is always a form of meta on the source material (canon), but in serious (non-crack) fic, the meta should integrated so well that it becomes an organic part of the story -- invisible, in fact -- or you're writing agenda!fic, and it will be weak. |
