Show & Tell: Humor
Humor is such an important part of QAF. Between, the snarky one-liners, the silly facial expressions, and the humorous situations some of our heroes end up in, we are all kept laughing and even in episodes that carry the most emotional baggage, there's always a little bit of humor. Agree or Disagree? Tell me why and then, show us some memorable humor from the show.

Here's one of my faves: It's from 214 and it starts in Woody's with Brian and Ted, who is lamenting his lack of a boyfriend. Brian's snark is so funny and then Michael shows up and Ted and Brian proceed to tag team him a bit in the teasing department, until they're pulled over by the cops and this conversations ensues.

Brian: Little Mikey’s jealous! Little Mikey’s jealous!
Michael: Would you shut the fuck up? What are you talking about?
Brian: You think they did it? You think he slipped her the big greaser? […] It’s just your garden variety, Oedipal thing. All your life you’ve been her little man, and all of a sudden some big old dick pops up and threatens to take her away. You’re hurt, you’re angry, you’re mad enough to kill.
Ted: Okay, one more word out of you, and I’m throwing you out of the car, okay? Even if it is yours.

FLASHING RED AND BLUE LIGHTS...bwhahahhahhahaha

Michael snarks to the cop about jelly donuts. bwhahahhahha

Ted: Oh now he’s done it…now we’re gonna get arrested…now we’re going to jail.

NOW, go forth and make me laugh!

Oh god, just continue that one and I'm laughing so hard I'm crying...

Cop to Michael: Do you have a problem with police officers?

Brian: Only ones that are boffing his mom!

Even the next morning in jail when Carl comes to let them go...and Brian's slinking along the wall as he leaves...

There are SO MANY MANY great laughs in this show...I can't wait to see what people come up with!

I know everyone calls that the Viagra episode, but I always think of it as the Flag Day episode. And it *is* hilarious!

Ted and the erection that just won't quit.

Emmett finding and losing true love at KOB.

The faerie gathering.

Vic offering Justin $20, in early S1, as an alternative to becoming a hustler. Deb smacks Vic. This one cracks me up.

I always thought Vic was offering Justin $20 to be his first client, not as an alternative...still funny either way though!

Brian smacking Emmett up the head in S1 and Emmett saying stoically "Don't touch me." lmao

Also, the scene you mentioned: funniest scene in the history of QaF. Never gets old. I have a special love for when Ted does the silent countdown after Michael huffs that he doesn't wanna talk about what's bothering him, and then Ted points his finger at him like "And here we go ..." *snorts*

The scene in my icon from 401! Completely, one of my favorite scenes! So funny, with Brian being all fake-seriously mad at Mikey, and his facial expressions! And then him expecting Michael to tell him how fabulous he looks, which of course, Mikey does cause he totally knows that Brian is full of bullshit! I just love it so much!

I actually don't think this is the right icon, but Brian's DeathDay Party cracks me up! The whole dragging him out of bed and having a tombstone cake! And the way Brian falls into, and curls up in the casket! Too Funny!

Ted: You spent $500, my $500 on that?!

Michael: It was a steal.

Ted: Yeah, and I'm the one who got robbed! Just take it back.

Michael: I can't take it back.

Ted: At what store did you buy that?

Michael: I didn't get it at a store.

Ted: Were did you get it?

Michael: Off a blanket.

Ted: A blanket?! You bought Lindsay and Melanie's wedding gift from some streetcorner cheister?!!!

Michael: It's from Chuck. It's a little country next the Chad.

Ted: Chuck! Chad! They sound like a couple of homos!

Michael: It's the perfect gift!

Ted: Perfectly hideous.

Michael: It's a work of art.

Ted: It's a piece of shit!

Michael: It's symbolic of love and pride.

Ted: It's symbolic of stupidity and bad taste.

Michael: You take that back!

Ted: I can't! I got it off a blaaaanket!

The Grandfather Claus

"Honey, you should see the carnage when yoga sells out."

"Like the mustard?"

"It fills the void"

"Orange is the blue?"

The other day I was thinking about something really funny that happens after the gut wrenching scene where Brian is at his sister's, seeing his mom and Clair, after the evil nephew, John, falsely accuses him of molestation. I can't think of it right now. But, yes, the show is so good at comic relief. When you're just about to die of angst, something hilarious happens.

The Pride episode, when Emmett and Ted tackled Michael and dressed him up like a drag queen. Then Michael when kissed his boss at the parade cracks me up every time! Later, when he quit the Big Q, he kissed his boss again, revealing that it was him. The look on his ex-boss' face was priceless!! :D

Also, during the episode arc of 307-309, when Justin arrives as an intern at Vanguard, Justin says, "...and here am" (when he explains the steps he took to get there). Brian says, "And here you aren't." Their word play throughout was so amusing! Even when Justin drops the boards during the Eyeconic Optics meeting and the bitchy female executive was funny because Justin one-upped Brian yet again when he said "Orange is the new blue." :)

Justin does it again when he kisses Brian in the art department, and is told he should have some balls; Justin does and kisses Brian speechless. LOL! Later, Justin returns and tells Brian to take him back, and Brian knows he's toast.
