QaF fic on Geocities
Geocities will be shutting down permanently soon -- at the end of this year, I believe. And there are quite a few QaF authors whose stuff is housed there.

Thyme just announced that all of Morpheus' stories are now archived at Moonshadow in the Lost Authors section. JustVisiting (a.k.a. Visitingagain) has moved there now too.

Some other authors are starting move their stories off Geocities as well, but some probably don't even know about it, and others have long since abandoned their stuff. So if there's anything you want to save from other QaF authors on geocities, either save it soon, or even better, help those authors find new sites to be hosted on.

Several of us have been talking about this. It's so sad, however, we're trying to come up with some sort of fic saving solution.

If you go to http://community.livejournal.com/getithere/tag/mod+posts and read through, you'll see that at least one person has offered to host authors who have nowhere else to go.

No, it will be back up at some point. It went down while Cael was away, and now that she's back she's doing some maintenance on it before it goes back up. This includes bjfic.net, gaedhal.com, and irishcaelan.com.

There's always the OTW's Open Doors project as well:

Like many fans, we are concerned about the news that GeoCities is going to close at the end of the year, especially as many older sites and fanfiction archives are housed there. As the chair of Open Doors, which is dedicated to protecting at-risk fannish projects, I can assure you that we will work out some sort of gameplan; in the interim, if you have an archive or webpage there, or if you can put us in contact with any archivists located there, please contact Open Doors through the Open Doors contact page.

Uh, well in the vast majority of cases the url would have a geocities.com domain. Like, for example, Severina's fics: http://www.geocities.com/qafhereandnow/
So look at your bookmarks, sort them by location, and scroll down to the geocities ones.

Every once in awhile, someone will mask the geocities domain their own domain name, as morpheus did (http://www.morpheusqaf.com/) with those, there's no way to know for sure that they're actually on geocities unless they tell you or you find out from someone else.

There's a list of QaF fics on geocities being collected over on LJ, here:
http://community.livejournal.com/getithere/791019.html (It's locked so you need to be a member of the comm to see it.)

The only one there that is reportedly a masked geocities site that hasn't been moved yet (that I know of) is http://www.westleyo.com/QAFfic.html The rest all use the geocities.com domain.
