I've always assumed that Justin quite likes Ted. That, at first, he doesn't really think a whole lot about him - just sees him as one of Brian's friends, but that over time they get to know and like each other pretty well, especially after Ted starts to work with Brian. For example, they seem to collude when they're training for the Liberty Ride, both of them looking over their shoulders to keep an eye on how Brian is doing at the spinning class. When I think of them post-series, I can imagine Justin turning to Ted for advice on managing his own finances as his career progresses.
