The actor who played Blake was on an episode of Haven, a new SyFy show in the US, a couple of weeks ago. He looked really good!

The actor who played Horvath is on ABC's new show, New Recruits Rookie Blue. He plays the cute, female lead's drunken dad. She's a cop, I am not sure if he is/was one too.

    awesome
NYC's Theatre C has announced a new project with (according to Reviewfix.com at least) Mr. Randy Harrison.

    ****
    (e)VAPORATE - Commissioned by Theatre C
    Music by Parker Ferguson
Lyrics by Parker Ferguson and christopher oscar pena
    Book by christopher oscar pena
    Directed by Carlos Armesto

A screwed-up reinvention of Orpheus and Eurydice in the form of a made-up love song. In what is essentially a "bromance" between O - the greatest pop singer in the world, who happens to be explosively gay, and E - his straight best friend of a muse, and O's complete opposite. Told through the framework of an eruptive multimedia pop concert, O relates the stories of his woes, as we see him befriend E and follow him down into the underworld.

    ****

*lol* Sounds crazy cool and right up his alley if you ask me :) Theatre C's mission also makes it seem like the kind of place and the type of project Mr. Harrison would like to be involved with:

    Mission
To create vibrant theatre through the fusion of different forms of expression. Led by Artistic Director, Carlos Armesto, Theatre C presents plays, musicals and events that meld puppetry and burlesque, video and dance, acrobatics and installations, hip hop rock and salsa, and more. Blurring the line between disciplines and cultures, the company is a part of the next stage in theatre's evolution. The overall intent is to move audiences and open minds.

    Michelle Clunie
Michelle Clunie was on Make It or Break It this week. (Episode 1x17, on ABC Family in the US.) She played a hardass gymnastics committee member and got to go off on someone (though she's the bad guy in this situation). It is a role that has a potential for a return, but I am not sure if it will.

It was the episode that also starred Marina Sirtis/Counselor Troi, from Star Trek: The Next Generation, which amuses me since Gale Harold is doing a play with Denise Crosby/Lt Yar, from Star Trek: The Next Generation.

    Here is a cap:

    Mr. Harrison at BTF
Randy Harrison will be back at the Berkshire Theatre Festival this summer. He's going to be in Endgame by Samuel Beckett, running from July 6th to 24th. I was lucky (ha, definitely no pun intended) enough to see him in Waiting for Godot (also by Samuel Beckett) at BTF two summers ago and it was, thus far, the most incredible experience I've ever had seeing live theatre. Hopefully I'll be able to get to Stockbridge again this year!

    George!
It's so nice to come across a lovable QAF face in a completely unexpected place. I was just watching episode 606 of The West Wing and there was Bruce Gray (aka George Schickle)!

    Robert Gant's Ace Hardware Commercial
    *waves*
Hi, this is my first post here. I usually have to be told about things that alum are doing, but happened to come across something myself:
I was watching Hulu today, and the commercial break brought up an ad for ACE Hardware, featuring a brief appearance of one of our favorite QAF alums Robert Gant! :) I thought it was him, and was able to grab a screen cap after finding it again. A few on my lovely flist confirmed that it is not simply me having QaF on the brain, but it is indeed him

Sharon, her new film, and a chance to meet her and support it!
In case you missed it, Sharon Gless is currently shooting a new film, Hannah Free, "A film about a lifelong love affair between an independent spirit and the woman she calls home," in which she plays a lesbian from age 50-70.

There's a nice little article about it in the Chicago Tribune.

And for any of you in the Chicago area, the director, writer, and several cast members including Sharon herself will be appearing at a fundraising event for the film TOMORROW, Sunday, November 9, from 4-6 p.m.

    Obituary: Jack Duffy
I just discovered that the wonderful singer/actor/comedian Jack Duffy died on May 19th at the age of 81.

Folks here will probably remember him in his role as the sweet old guy in Episode 509 who comes to his door and listens to Justin and Jennifer's whole pitch about voting against Prop 14 only to have his daughter tell them that he has Alzheimer's and hasn't voted in ten years.

He also was among the many QaF alums that appeared in the miniseries A State Within starring Sharon Gless. And I know some of you remember him fondly from the 70s series The Party Game.

There's more detail about his life and career in the obit from The Toronto Star (link above).

Rest in peace Jack, and thanks for all your wonderful work. We'll remember you fondly.
