Robert Gant's Ace Hardware Commercial *waves* Hi, this is my first post here. I usually have to be told about things that alum are doing, but happened to come across something myself: I was watching Hulu today, and the commercial break brought up an ad for ACE Hardware, featuring a brief appearance of one of our favorite QAF alums Robert Gant! :) I thought it was him, and was able to grab a screen cap after finding it again. A few on my lovely flist confirmed that it is not simply me having QaF on the brain, but it is indeed him ( Picture under cut ) | | Friday, March 13th, 2009 | 11:11 pm [flamencanyc]

In case you missed it, Sharon Gless is currently shooting a new film, Hannah Free, "A film about a lifelong love affair between an independent spirit and the woman she calls home," in which she plays a lesbian from age 50-70. Obituary: Jack Duffy I just discovered that the wonderful singer/actor/comedian Jack Duffy died on May 19th at the age of 81. Folks here will probably remember him in his role as the sweet old guy in Episode 509 who comes to his door and listens to Justin and Jennifer's whole pitch about voting against Prop 14 only to have his daughter tell them that he has Alzheimer's and hasn't voted in ten years. He also was among the many QaF alums that appeared in the miniseries A State Within starring Sharon Gless. And I know some of you remember him fondly from the 70s series The Party Game. There's more detail about his life and career in the obit from The Toronto Star (link above). Rest in peace Jack, and thanks for all your wonderful work. We'll remember you fondly. | | Wednesday, May 14th, 2008 | 3:19 pm [flamencanyc]

Welcome! and Official Websites of the QaF Cast & Crew (n.b.: this list is still under construction) Welcome to qaf_alumsnnews! Please read our profile page before going any further. Now that you've done that, on with our first post! Some of the QaF cast and crew members have official websites and/or blogs -- often very good resources for finding out what new projects are in the works, learning more about the individual, finding great photos, etc. You may be surprised at the other talents some of these folks have! There are painters, singers, musicians, coaches, writers, directors, teachers, and even an Olympic athlete. They have backgrounds in all sorts of things from law to ballet to marine biology to pro football. And most of them have done other interesting acting projects since QaF. Take a peek and see. (Note that if there are two relevant sites, an actor's first and last names below will go to the two different links respectively.) And of course, most of these people can also be found at IMDb, Wikipedia, etc. too. ( Links for those without official sites under here. )If you find any of these links to be broken, or find official sites for any of the cast/crew for whom I was unable to find any, please let me know. Thanks, and enjoy! -- Flame |
