Introduction to a Me, Myself, and I
I was hoping to find a community much like this, so I'm so glad I found this and I hope to have a beneficial symbiotic relationship.
I suppose I shall introduce myself a little here. :D
I am Ashe, a twenty-something life-long writer. Ever since I was in second-grade and my teacher had a "writing" hour I've been addicted to the play of words. I'm a terrible speller, completely ignore grammatical rules, and love a good story with complex characters. I nearly always edit at the end, though sometimes my inner OCD comes out and I'll start obsessively reading through my work fixing and re-fixing every thing I can possibly see (including adding and subtracting semi-colons like it's nobodies business).
I'm currently participating in NaNo this year, second year participant (look me up under LizBlack). I 'won' last year with my sci-fi novel with +50,000 words but didn't finish. My friend (another writer) and I are now (still!) currently going through it and editing it, and finding loop holes and plot holes and doughnut holes (not!) and anything else wrong with it.
This year I am going at it again with another Fantasy/Sci-fi novel; this time very Steampunk-ish. It's my first attempts at anything Steampunk and am having some difficulties.
I'm looking forward to meeting you all and writing and learning and all around good times.
