After seeing
this post from
snapesgirl_62 about one's real name popping up when searching your LJ/IJ user name, I decided to plug my real name into Google.
My married name is dull. Expect for the one that's the name of a person that runs a cross-dressing society in England or something. I apparently am seen with a man named Joe a lot.
Then I searched my maiden name, just for the hell of it. The thing with that is I realized that I absolutely don't associate myself with it any more. I see the name and it's practically a stranger's. So strange.
Now when I search for my user name, that's interesting. I turned off the feature that lets Google go through my journal (I forget what that's called, sorry). So my username is mostly featured in
other people's posts, comms, Walking the Plank. Although it does list first my two journals, but none of the content separately (unless of course you click the link).
