Like Poison (KoF, Prompt 115), Downward Spiral (House, Prompt 47), Forbidden Fruit (DBZ, Prompt 113)
Title: Like Poison
Fandom: King of Fighters
Characters/Pairing: one-sided Xiao Lon/K'
Rating: G
Challenge/Prompt: #115 -- Ache
Word Count: 151
Summary: As much as she loved him, she was just a poison to him.
It tugged at her heart.
He was the first man she'd ever had any attraction for other than a member of her family. However, she knew she could never be with him. She would just be poisonous to him in more ways than one.
Her father had been using NESTS--a sensitive thing for K' as-is--and it would just bring back those thoughts for him. It would be a poison on his soul, something that Xiao couldn't let happen. He was already a broken man. He didn't need to be destroyed any further.
She was literally poisonous too. Like the rest of the Hizoku, she was trained in the poison arts, and her very touch was full of poison. Her very kiss was full of poison. She couldn't let herself be the reason that K' would die.
She ached with all her being that she could never tell him she loved him.
Title: Downward Spiral
Fandom: House MD
Characters/Pairing: Gregory House
Rating: PG
Challenge/Prompt: #47 -- Spiral
Word Count: 162
Summary: In the doctor's mind, everything was a downward spiral.
One pill. Two pills. Three pills. Four. He needed his fix again; another dose to take the pain away. No, not the pain in his leg. A different pain. The pain of living in this society of idiots and far too many rules.
The pills rattled out of the bottle and into his palm. The pills rattled out of his palm and into his mouth. And then he would take a sip to wash them down. And then he would wait for it.
He'd wait for them to kick in to take him out of this downward spiral of degeneration and foolishness. Anything was better than the patients that kept coming with the most obvious of complaints that were obviously not lupus; the complaint was NEVER lupus. Anything was better than the residents squabbling over what the diagnosis really was. Around him, everything else seemed to go into a downward spiral.
But to everyone around him, he was the one spiraling down.
Title: Forbidden Fruit
Fandom: Dragonball Z
Characters/Pairing: Turles/Broly
Rating: PG
Challenge/Prompt: #113 -- Seduce
Word Count: 213
Summary: That fruit was temptation in more ways than one.
Turles was a cunning man; he knew that even the ones most oblivious to sexual advances had their weaknesses, and the major weakness of most saiyans such as himself was food. He also knew how to use food to seduce. After all, he was a cunning creature and picked up on things fast.
He had found the younger man alone on a hillside--Broly seemed to gravitate toward high places for some reason--and approached him. Turles's silky tail sweeping across exposed skin had no effect. Neither did his blatant love nips. Nor did his flattering words.
That's when Turles dug out that fruit, his beloved fruit from the tree of might. Turles sidled up close to the legendary, running his tongue along the spiky orange fruit, his half-lidded eyes gazing over toward the younger man.
"Hungry for this?" He taunted.
Broly hunched lower, eying the fruit enviously. "And if I am?"
"Then I will give it to you. For a price." Turles sneered.
"What is your price?" The younger grunted.
Turles sidled closer, licking along the younger man's jawline, then nipping the earlobe. "I believe...you already know." He then straddled the younger man, flicking his tail, the fruit clutched between his teeth.
He was going to deflower that Legendary. Of that he was certain.
