Since the dawn of time, storytellers have enchanted audiences with their words. But there is an even rarer gift. There are those who, by reading out loud, can bring characters to life. Out of books and into our world. Most of these people prefer to keep their skills a secret but some do not even know this gift is theirs, until it is too late.

You know how your story begins, do you know how it ends?
We offer you a unique setting and the ability to become part of our story. It is all about what you want! This place vastly encourages players to help us shape the setting and offers both mod-run plots as well as the option to simply choose a plot you would like to see. Temporary doors to different worlds can be picked and opened so characters can visit them. The current setting is a space station but this might change in the future and you will be able to help shape the current settings and where this game will head. We are a community of players invested in long term story lines and are run by mods who understand that life gets in the way of writing. This makes the game ideal for people who often feel too busy to commit to activity checks or simply do not enjoy the stress of them but would still like welcome long-term plots.

What makes a monster? Is it an accident of birth or a conscious decision? Most people don't think real 'monsters' exist. But with satellites that can see below ground and every person walking around with a camera in their hands, it is only a matter of time before the unseen becomes a stark reality. The question takes on a whole different meaning when things that go bump in the night turn out to be your neighbors.

Plot
Grant Springs is an original, modern supernatural game set in a fictional city in Wisconsin. Players must be eighteen or older to join because of the mature themes that will be explored in the game. Personal plots are more than welcome but we will be focusing on the political implications of the existence of supernatural creatures.

The universe is in a fragile and weakened state, nobody knows why or how. With the fabric of space itself damaged, anomalous fissures are beginning to appear. Fissures that could crack and spread, collapsing reality and letting in things that should not exist in our dimension.

Cosmo the space-dog came through the fissures first and ended up at Knowhere. He cleaned up the neighborhood and took charge of things, becoming head of security and the unquestioned leader. Once Cosmo was happy with his progress he sent a communication to Peter Quill and the Guardians inviting them to use Knowhere as their base of operations. Cosmo taught them how to use the Celestial's abilities to watch the universe and teleport to anywhere in space and time instantaneously which increased their Galaxy saving capabilities tenfold.

Now it's up to the Guardians of the Galaxy to investigate these cracks in space and deal with whatever, or whoever, comes out next.

Knowhere is inspired by the Guardians of the Galaxy comics, Guardians of the Galaxy movies, and the TV Shows Fringe and Lost. It is a pan-fandom, action-based roleplaying game that takes place at the edge of the universe. It deals in large universe-altering plots that is a collaborative effort among players. It allows one alternate universe to be created and played in for every canon universe represented. It is rated MA and all muns involved are over the age of 18.

The game is set in the United Kingdom in England, in a fictional city called Winterridge. Many 'canons' are still open, originals are welcome, no app needed, just claim your character concept, and pb. You must be 18+. The game is rated R.

[info]dreadfulthings It's a game based on the works of Stephen King, Silent Hill, Goosebumps and various other sources of horror. It's about a town of of a little over 7,000 people, who are some in the know that their home is full of all things horrible, and some in the ignorant, because well, they want to be blissed or they're new in town. But when it comes down to it, the townspeople can't find it in themselves to leave, and when they think about it, it fleets from their minds. Maybe they're stuck, maybe they're just so used to it they don't mind living in dreaded fear and wading through the bullshit that is Church Hill, Maine. Maybe, there's something much bigger going on here. Whatever it is, Church Hill is a town that's been erased from today's maps and GPS, it's hard to come across. So, woe to anyone who finds it.

Game opens with Ten Applications or six players, as I feel that's enough to keep the game going strong.

Hell Adjacent


When one door closes, another opens...







Blinking back into reality from what feels like a fog, you find yourself in the entrance lobby of what appears to be a once lavish hotel. Though its former grandeur is quite apparent, the surroundings are faded, and seem dated. The air is stale, and quiet. In one hand you notice a PDA that you don't believe belongs to you. It's curious how it ended up in your hand because you don't remember picking it up or even coming into the building. When you look at it, it takes your picture.



In your other hand is a heavy, ornate calligraphy pen, it's tip black with fresh ink. On the registry desk is an open ledger, and on that ledger is a list of names- the last one, yours, written in your own handwriting. As you watch, beside your name a room number appears on the page. Looming on a high pillar beside the desk is a large, ornate clock with the words "Hotel Kairos" emblazoned just beneath it.



The electronic device in your hand makes a pleasant noise; you've received a private message:



Dear esteemed Guest, welcome to the Hotel Kairos. Please be advised the hotel undertakes regular excursions of one week duration, followed by a rest week for guests recuperation and relaxation. The next excursion will be beginning shortly, you are free to explore your new surroundings within the allotted time frame but the hotel takes no responsibility should you fail to return to the premises by the designated time. Meal service is not provided but please feel free to use the kitchen. You are are liberty to bring back sundries or desireables from your adventures. We suggest you keep your assigned PDA so as to electronically communicate with other guests; it will also act as your room key, and provide electronic access to other public areas of the hotel. Thank you and have a pleasant stay.

The year is 2017. A new president has been inaugurated, and soon after a congressional bill acknowledges the existence of the supernatural. A number of supernatural beings, both mortal and immortal, are revealed. Some people are surprised by this revelation, and others less so. People find themselves struggling to adapt, and it leads to both internal and external conflicts. Acceptance of those from non-human descent varies by community, education, upbringing, and social class, but most certainly is not universal.

In Philadelphia, one of the most populated cities in the US, the mayor institutes a further law that discrimination against supernaturals is illegal, the first city to offer a law of this sort. Responses swing from ignoring the law entirely, to those who simply see it as proper to treat everyone the same. The trades some, especially fae, brought with them during their lengthy existence benefited the city economy and new businesses were able to develop and expand - though some found themselves vandalized too.

Hell Adjacent
When one door closes, another opens...



You find yourself in what appears to be a once lavish hotel. Though its former grandeur is quite apparent, the surroundings seem dated. The air is stale. In your hand is a PDA that you don't believe belongs to you. It's curious how it ended up in your hand because you don't remember picking it up or even coming into the building.

On closer inspection, it seems that you are in a lobby of some sort, standing near a reception area. The first thing that you notice is the large clock and the words "Hotel Kairos" emblazoned just beneath it. The desk is empty save for a battered looking bell and a dusty ledger that appears to be some sort of guest book. A sign next to it politely reminds you to 'please sign in upon arrival.'

You may try ringing the bell, but no one will attend to you, why not do as the sign says? When you go to look at the book, however, you realize that you already have signed the book. Beside your name, written in your own handwriting, a room number appears on the page.

Upon further examination of the PDA, you receive a private message. It reads as follows: 'Dear Guest, welcome to the Hotel Kairos. Please be advised excursions will take place every 72 hours, you are free to explore within that time frame but the hotel takes no responsibility for you thereafter should you fail to return to the premises within the allotted time. Meal service is not provided but please feel free to use the kitchen. You are also permitted to bring back sundries from your latest excursion. The wifi password is chronos, we suggest logging into the device we have provided so as to be able to communicate with other guests. Please make your own way to your assigned room. Thank you and have a pleasant stay.'

A Post-Hogwarts Trio-Era Game!

Quarantine: A condition, period of time, or place in which a person suspected of carrying an infectious agent is kept in confinement or isolated in an effort to prevent disease from spreading.

A virus has started spreading through Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, taking the magic of anyone who catches it. The Ministry immediately quarantine the area, preventing anyone from leaving the grounds.

One by one students find themselves losing their ability to perform even the simplest of spells. But even as they struggle to try and find a cure, darker forces are beginning to close in on the school...

Some people call it The City of Sin, others call it The City of Lights, but around here it's known as Glitter Gulch. Welcome to Las Vegas, the rough yet sometimes magical desert oasis. Here is where we live our lives, not ever thinking things could change too much. That is, until the summer of 2015 when shit hit the fan. That's when the memories started showing up. That's when the crazies started roaming the streets. Hopefully it doesn't last too long, but only time will tell.

Glitter Gulch is a sandbox-type game for the summer of 2015 only. It is a pan-fandom social character development and plot heavy game. It houses both canon and au characters. It is written in third person storybook style threads and first person network posts. The game is rated R and takes place in real time, real world Las Vegas, Nevada.

Holds open midnight on July 1st and the game opens midnight July 5th. Game will close September 15th.

After the Dark Days ended, the Hunger Games brought a much needed sense of revenge and justice to the war weary Capitol citizens. Since then, the Games have continued to grow in popularity as each year brings a new and exciting arena full of danger and blood shed. They have morphed from a modest form of punishment to a grand specter of Capitol might and mercy over the districts.

After twenty-three years, whispers of the Game to end all Games have abound in the Capitol. The Quarter Quell is coming and with it an unmatched sense of anticipation. The upcoming Twenty Fourth Annual Hunger Games are being met with both excitement and the urgency to move past them. Hints of what is to come have inspired hope in the districts - an end for the Games - while the Capitol looks forward to the best of the best....

Bread Circus follows the victors and support staff of the Hunger Games as they prepare for the First Quarter Quell.

This game is based on Suzanne Collins' The Hunger Games trilogy, and seeks to fill out the world of Panem through the eyes of those involved in presenting the Games.
