To succeed with the opposite sex, tell her you're impotent. She can't wait to disprove it. ~ Cary Grant

I'm quite well, yourself, love?

Grant makes a valid point. Moreover, Cary Grant always makes great points.

Not bad, Godiva chocolates and some cheap wine has made it much better !

That's because he's Cary Grant. "Everyone wants to be Cary Grant. So would I" ~ Cary Grant.

You've got to love those little creature comforts.

Well I certainly don't want to be Cary Grant, possible for the only reason of becoming a male.. but I suppose Audrey Hepburn is the female counterpart.

You have to, even if they are few and far between. Even struggling artists can have good taste. I'm sure your days are long and gone, but you can sympathize.

Audrey... Or Sophia Loren. Or Elizabeth Taylor in her golden years. Sorry for that mini-rant.

My days are long, but they are not gone. Plenty to struggle for, love. And you've very good taste.

Oh yes, Taylor was a charmer. Edith Piaf of course, indubitably, people from France have to like her.

Why thank you, too many think i am terribly kitsch-y

Edith... God, there's a voice for the ages.

I hardly would say that at all, love.

I spent many childhood nights pretending I could sing 1/4 as great as she. I spent my adolescence realizing I could only sing 1/8 like her, turning my efforts into painting her dreams. A dream of all ages, a voice of infinite soul.

Well then you must educate the masses of your findings. Create a church perhaps in my likeness.

Listening to her old records in my dad's garage and knowing full well that my sister wanted to be her when she grew up is always something I look back on with great fondness. What I do isn't nearly as enigmatic as her voice. She was one of those extreme rarities.

I already have my own deity that demands my attention. Sorry, love. But I will be a missionary if you wish.

Oh indeed. Every little French girl grew up thinking she could be her, as she tried on her mother's best dress and shoes. Such a rarity; they are few and far between and those blessed with it, never fully acknowledge it.

Merde. I suppose a missionary will do -- just less zeal than those Mormons, okay?

Even little Irish girls grew up wanting to be her. And I can't blame Esther for wanting to sound just like Edith.

Oh, of course. I wouldn't want to slander your good and gentle name.

What a beautiful name, Esther. Very nice name -- you don't see it often. Is she younger?

Why thank-you. I'll be sure to paint stunning paintings to honor your valiancy

She's a darling. Best baby sis in the world. And she is younger by about 5 years younger than I am. What about yourself, love? Siblings?

And I'll be sure to spread the news of your good name through song.

No. Yes, but no.

Ah, well tell her, her name is belle! Ah, yes, I won't pretend I have not heard of you. I have indeed and would be proud for you to write the psalms!

I'm afraid I'm a might confused with that one, love.

I will. She's thinking of dabbling into the music scene a bit herself, now.. And bless your heart.. A psalmist? Cripes, that would be a bit weird of me!

I had a sister, and now I do not. I'd rather not explore further that topic, merci.

Really? Greatness runs in the family, then? ha It's a tricky business I have learned. One can never have too many options on their cv!

Of course. I didn't mean to pry at all. I'm sorry.

Aye, it's that. Quite tricky, and I've told her about it and tried to sway her mind to something else. But she does have the voice of a nightingale, so who knows.

It's okay, it's understood.

You can never sway one away, when it flows in the veins. A terrible yet beautiful abnomaly.Well I will have to listen to your sister one time, I am sure she sings beautifully. After all, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

I.. I truly am sorry.

I only sway because she's the one thing in my world that I still see as pure and untainted. It's the bigger brother in my to try and see her stay that way.

Now you've got me blushing, love.

I understand, it's fine. You didn't know, so you can't be blamed.

Big brother's do tend to do so. You have to let them go eventually, but I've heard that is very hard for the big brother! Everyone has to scrape their knees and palms.

Ah, never!

Bless you. You're a dote, love.

This is true. And it's been a bit difficult watching her grow up and wanting to dive into the business I've often times told her to stay from because it can be a cruel and hard place. But she's one of the strongest women I know.

Never you say, I'm bright red!

Much like one cannot live on dreams and words alone. But you are actually doing it. You aren't just saying your going to and then never following up, you're actually out there living up to your dream and doing what you wish to be doing. And that is something to be proud of.

I suppose, but it wasn't all my own will. Maybe I should stop hassling and teasing my distributor with idle threats of painting no more. 'Oh, terror made me cruel...'

It wouldn't be just your distributor who'd be cryin' and beggin' you not to, love. The world needs art. Not just on stage or screen or in your ears. "Terror which hath make me wretch this world with cruelty."

Ah it's games. I could care less if people bought my paintings, or people paying for my music. All that was accidental and never necessary. It could all go away, and I could be painting in my apartment, only to hang it on the fridge or sing in the shower. Ownership tis a funny thing. Art is important in deed but one should never think they are above the art or outside of it

[info]jbarclay

Quite agreed. If something you do though is enjoyed by a group of people, then that should be considered a grand blessing for yourself and a great accomplishment. As soon as you take yourself too seriously, that can be a bit of a bad thing for one's image.

And your album is wonderful.
