He'd been on his way downstairs to get a donair from the restaurant down the street that had the really good tabbouleh salad. That's all he'd wanted -- he'd been half-avoiding the rest of the population in the complex quite effectively until now.

Now ... well, he was trapped in the elevator with -- he'd only just stepped in and then it had stalled, so he wasn't exactly sure who he was trapped in the elevator with, but considering the other tenants of the building it was probably someone he knew.

That was unfortunate.

He sighed, checking his pocket for his cell-phone and sending out a quick text.

WHERE: Their apartment.

Terry sat down on the left side of the bed, waiting for Jamie to finish his nightly ritual of making sure the brand was covered. She wanted to tell him it wasn't necessary, but she knew it wouldn't do any good to push the issue. She just needed to support Jamie and let him know that the brand didn't bother her. She ran her hairbrush through her hair while she waited, marveling at how much her life had changed. She was pregnant, living with Jamie, and pretty sure she was in love with him. It wasn't what she'd expected for her life, but she was content with the odd sort of domesticity they'd stumbled into. More than content really.

She set her hairbrush on the nightstand and moved to lie down, flicking off the light. She wasn't really tired, but the routine was nice and lying with Jamie helped her sleep better. That was another thing she hadn't expected. "Coming to bed?" she called, assuming he was done covering the brand, or nearly so.
