Gabriel was relieved with the appearance of someone who, while a stranger and clearly related to the people that were acting oddly about him, didn't jump on him for being horrible or dangerous or a murderer. The chance for company that would at least know the circumstances of the area that he had came from while not being frightened of him as someone that he didn't even know was more than he could resist. Even if he was still trying to get used to this city himself and the small yet noticeable differences, he had enough time under his belt in New York in general that there was no issues with him navigating.

Wandering down to the lobby, Gabriel lingered by the doorway and glanced back towards the stairwell, hands in his pockets as he leaned back against the wall. While he was more than patient, he also was prone to worry. It shouldn't take that long to get downstairs, should it?

Why yes, the man known as Sylar was sitting in the back corner of an ice cream shopping, eating a bowl of ice cream, complete with rainbow sprinkles. Did he care that it was 36 degrees and snowing lightly outside? Heck no! He was a psychopath. He didn't care what society deemed normal! Yes, the attendant behind the counter had given him a look as if to say 'Are you crazy?' when he'd placed his order, but he'd merely smiled creepily at her and she'd promptly shut up and gotten him his damn ice cream. He'd had to bitch at her for nearly leaving off his precious sprinkles, but she quickly corrected her error and even gave him free whipped cream.

He'd thanked her politely and then taken his seat, facing the door, his back to the wall. In that position, he was content to watch the people coming in through the door, safe and secure in the knowledge that no one could sneak up on him.

Sylar rolled his eyes a little at Parkman; Fat Cop's buttons really were too easy to push, and it was very tempting to go after him and end this once and for all. The only thing saving Parkman was the fact that Sylar had promised Lilly Kane he'd meet her at her apartment to see what trouble they could find in the Big Appel.

More importantly, he'd promised Mohinder that he'd leave Parkman and Molly alone. He got Mohinder out of the deal, which was good enough for him. Besides, it wasn't his fault Parkman had gotten all pissy. Sylar had just been honest when he'd called him 'Fat Cop.'

He logged off his computer and then got his jacket, pulling it up and zipping it up. The collar got popped and he smirked, winking at his reflection before heading out of the apartment. Maybe he'd see if Mohinder wanted to tag along...

Heading to the elevator, he went down to the lobby and then crossed over to the next building. Another elevator ride and a short walk down a hallway, and he was standing in front of Apartment 246. Grinning, he knocked on the door and waited for Lilly to answer.
