WHO: Peter Pevensie and Caspian X WHERE: Out at a restaurant. Yes, the boys are going on a date! WHEN: Evening. RATING: TBD STATUS: In Progress
Peter wasn’t used to being nervous. There was almost always an underlying current of confidence that could be found in the High King, his posture and even the way he talked always gave the impression that he was self-assured. However the thought of going on a date with Caspian was enough to fill his stomach with butterflies, which wasn’t a feeling he was particularly comfortable with. Since their relationship was disclosed by his family there was no longer a need to hide what they felt for each other, which is why Peter had impulsively asked Caspian out on a date.
It was a stupid idea really, that the two of them could go out and go on a date. Not that the idea of them spending time together was stupid, because they spent a lot of time together, it was the part about doing it in public as a date that Peter wasn’t sure about. He had dressed for the occasion, in a light blue shirt and smart black trousers; he left his top two buttons open because it wouldn’t do to be too dressed up.
They had arrived at the restaurant a short time ago and ever since, Peter had found himself struggling for words. So instead of making polite conversation he studied the menu. He could only hope that the evening would get easier.
“So,” Peter started lamely, because there really was only so much silence that he could take. “This is… well… nice?” So maybe silence would have been a better option. This awkward, nervous feeling wasn’t something Peter was enjoying. At all.
